He was only 54, I loved him in Friday Night Dinner.

@TeeBee

Its a day of mourning in our house...we loved him. It might also mark the end of Friday Night Dinner, which will be devastating.
I thought that it was going to be finished anyway, with the boys becoming dads.

But yes very sad, Martin was a fantastic character

ralphiebabs12 · 06/04/2021 14:15

Heartbreaking.

Loved FND, just finished rewatching it.

Found out today he was in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

RIP

JustJustWhy · 06/04/2021 14:18

I feel as sad as the passing of Caroline Aherne. I'm going to eat some ketchup.

ImpatiensI · 06/04/2021 14:19

Terrible news, terrible loss to acting. RIP Paul Flowers

lollipoprainbow · 06/04/2021 14:40

So so upset about this, celebrity deaths don't usually bother me that much but this has saddened me so much. Me and my dd are big FND fans and watched it loads during lockdown, if she's upset she asks to watch it. I even joked about a lovely bit of squirrel when I was dishing up last night. Thanks for the laughs xx

Gutted. He was brilliant in FND, in everything. No more nippy nippy 😔

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 06/04/2021 15:23

@lollipoprainbow me too, love it hence my username. So upset about it. . So young.

toolazytothinkofausername · 06/04/2021 15:30

If his family/friends are reading this, I want them to know how much Paul cheered me up this year, on Friday night dinner, when I felt at my lowest. I am so very sorry for your loss.

IntermittentParps · 06/04/2021 15:46

Didn't watch FND, but I loved him in No Offence and Chernobyl. That's too young. Fucking hell.

MoonBaby1 · 06/04/2021 15:52

penguinpostcard · 06/04/2021 16:34

So sad to hear this news. Had only just finished listening to the radio adaptation of the book Meet Me At The Museum - it's still on BBC Sounds for a couple more weeks. He was perfect in it.

LondonPainter · 06/04/2021 16:38

I've just watched the Pulling special where he plays Karen's love interest (Martin!). Brilliant.

DancingInTheDaffodils · 06/04/2021 16:39

Really sad news and so young too.

FND got us through the first lockdown and is the only thing we've watched as a family. My teenage DSs loved it.

Shit on it, I'm boiling Grin

MummyJ12 · 06/04/2021 16:40

tenlittlecygnets · 06/04/2021 16:41

3peassuit · 06/04/2021 16:51

Such a great versatile actor. Too young to go.

BlueTiles · 06/04/2021 17:11

So sad. When I read that his sons were at his bedside it took me a moment to realise it wouldn't be the two in FND - he was so convincing as a dad.

Deepest condolences to his fault and friends.

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 06/04/2021 17:31

I live near where one of the outdoor scenes was shot, and I will think of him when I pass by tomorrow. RIP.

Same, we watch it most nights, love it

SummerHouse · 06/04/2021 17:53

Midway through FND rewatch and will be watching Chernobyl tonight. A very talented actor who brought a lot of people a lot of joy.
