We’re sticking with tradition so serving fish. Cod with a bacon crumb cooked on tomatoes, peppers onion and capers with herby cous cous and garlic tenderstem broccoli. Minimal input required for tasty result!

Enchiladas
Will have a roast on Sunday though

queenofthenorthwest · 02/04/2021 19:14

Cheeseburger and chips with tztsticki

Milkshake7489 · 02/04/2021 19:17

We always do fish and chips on Good Friday Smile. Meat is a definite no no (we're not super religious, but it just feels wrong somehow!).

Kedgeree for us, yummy! Fish fingers for the kids :)

expectopelargonium · 02/04/2021 19:19

Birdseye fish, chips and peas. Followed by Malteser cake.

Shineonyoucrazy · 02/04/2021 19:23

Smoked salmon pasta embarrassingly easy - stir a large tub of cream cheese and pack of chopped smoked salmon into cooked pasta, heat through for a minute or two. Lots of pepper. Salad. Lemon wedges.

TellySavalashairbrush · 02/04/2021 19:24

Swordfish fillet for dh and salmon fillet for me both served with samphire and baby potatoes .

JaquelineBeanstalk · 02/04/2021 19:26

Hello fresh meal-lentils and harissa roast veg with feta and toasted almonds. DH loved it, wants it in our regular rotation.

underneaththeash · 02/04/2021 19:54

kids had tacos and we're having a tomato tart tatin and then dover sole.

yellowmelon · 02/04/2021 19:55

We're isolating. So whatever's in the freezer.

Eyevorbig0ne · 02/04/2021 19:56

Free dominos pizza using gocompare voucher reward. 👍

Susie477 · 02/04/2021 19:56

Fish and chips from our multi-award winning local shop, with a bottle of champagne. Cheers! 🥂

Ferrylights · 02/04/2021 20:00

Goats cheese and caramelized onion pizza, fat chips, creamy coleslaw, nice bottle of Barolo .

CoodleMoodle · 02/04/2021 20:06

We always have some sort of fajitas or tacos on a Friday, and it's the one meal we all enjoy, including food phobic DD(7). She and DS(2) have chicken nuggets in their wraps instead of actual fajitas but that's fine by me.

It was delicious!

HandforthParishCouncilClerk · 02/04/2021 20:12

We’re athiests, but to be honest it was fish anyway as DS loves fish so it features fairly heavily on the menu here. I made smoked haddock with a Parmesan cornflake crumb and parmentier potatoes, with asparagus. Then sat and sulked while they ate because I’m on a sodding diet. Grin

autumnboys · 02/04/2021 20:13

Smoked salmon bagels & chips.

AudTheDeepMinded · 02/04/2021 20:16

Chish and Fips

Bloodybridget · 02/04/2021 20:26

We had a Higgedy spinach and feta quiche, potato wedges and green beans. Not particularly planned, just something quick and easy that I thought I could eat. Some delicious sounding fish meals here!

Shineonyoucrazy · 02/04/2021 20:29

@Gerla really sorry your evening was spoilt.

Susannahmoody · 02/04/2021 20:30

Pork chops, hopefully slightly burnt, rice, homemade coleslaw

PickAChew · 02/04/2021 20:35

Waitrose hake curry served with brown basmati and rainbow chard sabzi. DH had the remains of the exceptionally good naan from last night's takeaway.

lissie123 · 02/04/2021 20:35

Tonight is Chicken and bacon pasta and pecan pie. Easter Sunday is roast turkey with all the trimmings.

choirmumoftwo · 02/04/2021 20:36

Pan roasted monkfish, samphire and potato croquettes. Delicious.

LemonRoses · 02/04/2021 20:37

Good Friday has to be fish. Nothing until after 3pm.
Tonight I’ve done salmon in a soy/tomato/ginger/garlic/lime/spot of honey marinade with baked on the vine cherry tomatoes.
Served on stir fry vegetables (broccoli, mushrooms, onion, onion, green beans, red pepper) in a similar stir fry sauce with Jasmine rice.

Then an orange.

PurpleDaisies · 02/04/2021 20:39

Chippy tea here as well. We don’t really eat anything particularly special for Good Friday or Easter Sunday.
