We’re sticking with tradition so serving fish. Cod with a bacon crumb cooked on tomatoes, peppers onion and capers with herby cous cous and garlic tenderstem broccoli. Minimal input required for tasty result!

Cheeseboard for me.

ChronicallyCurious · 02/04/2021 15:49

Chinese takeaway!

DaphneBridgerton · 02/04/2021 15:56

I was going to have fish and chips but made the mistake of watching Seaspiracy today .... Now I'm not sure!

Also am I the only one who has never heard of a tuna and pea lasagne in my life? (One of the earlier responses)

Local pub are delivering fish, chips and peas later on. Not a churchgoer but always eat fish and avoid meat on Good Friday.

FatCatThinCat · 02/04/2021 16:02

Cod fillets with cheesy mash.

mamatocaptainchaos · 02/04/2021 16:05

Steak 🥩

SkankingMopoke · 02/04/2021 16:14

KFC. Hopefully given the number of people on this thread plumping for fish, there shouldn't be too much of a queue!

pinkksugarmouse · 02/04/2021 16:14

We are having Morrisons Vegan garlic kieves, mash, broccoli, carrots and white sauce. I do the white sauce but its very easy to make. We would have eaten this whether it was Easter or not.
We don't do Easter. It's just another day now DD is grown up. But she still gets her chocolate and we have some hot cross buns for supper.

SuperintendentHastings · 02/04/2021 16:15

Chicken and chorizo risotto.
Homemade hot cross buns.

LunaNorth · 02/04/2021 16:15

Salmon fillet with watercress sauce.
New potatoes.
Asparagus.
Peas.

Chocolate crispy nests. Gotta be done.

MintyCedric · 02/04/2021 16:17

Chicken korma, coconut rice, homemade naan and gobi also saag bhajis.

Also going against the grain on Sunday with beef/nut roast as DD isn't a fan of lamb.

eveoha · 02/04/2021 16:25

John Dory - Jersey Royals - asparagus/hollandaise

MadMadMadamMim · 02/04/2021 16:26

Lamb. I vaguely bought it for Easter whilst I was in Asda this week. Realised this morning that its "use by" date is today.

So we're eating it tonight rather than Sunday.

This sounds amazing, where can I find the recipe?
MysweetAudrina · 02/04/2021 16:36

Had muesli for breakfast, hot cross bun toasted with real butter and jam with a cup of tea mid morning and 2 slices of brown soda bread, real butter, naice ham and coleslaw, a side of crinkle cut crisps and a Coke Zero for lunch and am thinking beef stir fry with sticky toffee pudding later on.

HeyMicky · 02/04/2021 16:44

Chippy tea here. I don't think we've had fish and chips since last Easter!

OverTheRainbow88 · 02/04/2021 16:45

So far about 10 Cadbury eggs 😬

MaverickDanger · 02/04/2021 16:53

We had a sausage and bacon bap with coffee on our walk earlier.

We’ve split a hot cross bun & are going to have a cheeseboard and charcuterie later.

Most excited for roast lamb on the bbq on Sunday, and then leftovers on Monday with homemade pitas made on the bbq.

It’s certainly awe one on me! It sounds quite unusual, although maybe it’s a bit like tuna pasta bake?

Chicken casserole.
Didn’t even realise it was Good Friday until today, but it’s just another bank holiday for us.

DrunkenKoala · 02/04/2021 16:58

We had hot cross buns earlier and we’re having a chippy tea tonight.

SpeckledyHen · 02/04/2021 16:59

Poached salmon salad with Jersey Royals.
