When you make a tomato-based sauce, add a pinch of sugar with the salt and pepper. It will take some of the acidity out of the tomatoes and make the flavour smoother.
If you cut yourself and it won't stop bleeding, put Vaseline on it.

Agree, a nod and a lofty smile will do, with all DHs enthusiastic plans. Without any resistance to said plans, he'll have no reason to dwell into their marvellous benefits and will soon forget all about them. Just to move on to new ones. Rinse and repeat.
