Dead Bloom & Wild Flowers

Anyone else received an awful box of flowers from Bloom & Wild today?

I've had their flowers before but this time they are crushed, broken and going brown. I've actually cried, which is silly but what should have been something to make me smile looks like is needs to go in the bin.

As I said, I've had their flowers before but these are not going to perk up!

Well I have had an M&S delivery today of dead flowers. I will see if CS respond.

StepOutOfLine · 14/03/2021 15:57
@StepOutOfLine that was rude of your cousin Shock

I would tell someone if their flowers arrived in less than favourable condition because they’re not cheap and I’d give the opportunity to flag it up with the company but tactfully of course!! If he outraged if someone informed me like that.
In fairness they were for his mum and at least it gave me the chance not to use B&W again!

ohsuzannah · 14/03/2021 17:59

@StocksAndScares

Try Freddie's Flowers. I've never had a bad bunch from them.
Freddie's flowers are beautiful! I have a subscription with them and it's so exciting waiting to see what I'll get next Smile

My Mum's have opened a bit but still look nothing like the amount in the similar priced ones on the app. Greenery looks very poor and there was no flower food in it. Today pic and website pic attached to generally compare.

Customer service emailed saying sorry about disappointment but they are in bud which may be the issue. They have asked for another photo from today. I am annoyed because no, that's not the issue! I have had them before and I know about waiting a few days. Have sent the photos today. Mum is still happy enough but I just don't think this was worth £39

I have had 4 deliveries from Bloom and Wild since January they have all been perfect.I also have sent 2 from Bloom and wild for Mothers day and both mums were delighted.but one mum said she was being quiet cos they were sleeping! Daft mare but I thought it funny she was tiptoeing round the dining table telling her dh to ssshhh cos the flowers might still be sleeping!

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 14/03/2021 19:55

Freddies flowers are good quality - I just got hacked off that they never addressed them (block of 24 flats), not even my name on them, and then took to frequently leaving them on the pavement of a busy central London street.
A flower delivery company really needs to be able to deliver flowers Hmm

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 14/03/2021 20:02

Letterbox flowers are always a bit disappointing, ime. I always use local florists now, you get much more for your money, and it's nice to support small local businesses.

VeganCow · 14/03/2021 20:13

I had a Freddie's flowers trial and really think they are overpriced. All these companies charging 25-30 odd quid for flowers you can get for £8 from Tesco. Even with delivery on top they are still not great and are overpriced. Better off using a local florist

I got Bloom and Wild for both Dm and MIL, and they both looked beautiful.
However I did get them delivered on Thursday rather than Saturday (to avoid the delivery charge) so maybe they struggle with the volume.

Erictheavocado · 14/03/2021 21:01

I received B&W flowers today and they are stunning, even before they have had their 24 hours in water. Huge roses, beautiful sweet williams as well as bulb on tulips and other flowers I don't recognise. I've never had a poor bunch from them and all the ones I've sent have been well received.
I have used bunches in the past but stopped because I found the reality never lived up to the advertised product, on top of which I found their selections very uninspiring and old fashioned. M&S used to be good, but I found their delivery very unreliable. I don't use local florists - my birthday is close to a date when flowers tend to be purchased and so often my poor dh would order flowers for me at a high cost only to find that although there were a lot of blooms, they were basically old stock and rarely lasted more than a day or two.

madmumofteens · 15/03/2021 07:01

I got bloom and wild flowers sent to me for my birthday they were dead and definitely not sleeping!! It was so upsetting and didn't want to tell my friend 😞 I contacted customer services less than helpful I certainly wouldn't send them to anyone!

CattyCactus · 16/03/2021 12:12

I ordered some B&W flowers for my Mum for Mother’s Day. I think the same bunch that @MrsAmaretto posted about.
It arrived with one dead snapdragon, and this morning the other snapdragon has died, and more flowers are dead.
@isobelmillsuk my Mum contacted customer services initially. Firstly, they’ve refunded me £5. She’s just called again and was told ‘tough, the flowers are only guaranteed for 7 days’ but she pointed out it hasn’t even been 7 days, so is getting a replacement bunch.
I sent another bunch to my godmother earlier last week, for her birthday, so I just hope to god her bunch was Ok.
I must say I am very disappointed as previously I’ve had no problems at all.

FinallyFluid · 16/03/2021 12:24

B&W are hit and miss, so I tried Freddies.

I reckon it is easier to leave the church of Scientology than it is to cancel your subscription.

Logoff · 16/03/2021 19:18

Marks and Spencer ignoring my emails and contact on social media. I will not use them again. I had a Freddie’s order not arrive but they refunded me quite quickly.

Roussette · 16/03/2021 19:22

OP... I think you were just unlucky.

I've been given bloom and wild postbox flowers, one a month. Arrives on the 18th of every month.

I can honestly say, that I only throw out the previous month's when the new lot arrive.

They last so long and have been absolutely beautiful

I would never get flowers from anywhere else

Ifonlyiweretaller · 16/03/2021 23:28

I had Freddie's flowers for along time but the quality dropped off and I was disappointed. As a previous poster said, cancelling is somewhat challenging! I now use Arena, not only are they cheaper but I love the simplicity of their bouquets...often just one type of flower with a bit of greenery. I get them fortnightly and This week it's a mass of creamy white tulips and I mean a mass! I still have some of the cream roses and pussy willow from the bunch I received nearly 3 weeks ago, they were stunning.
Have had flowers from Haute, 3 deliveries and all below average.

Jumpingroo · 19/03/2021 17:24

I was on this thread ages ago under an old name so I hope it’s not seen as socking, I name-change every week.

I had a missed delivery today from Freddie’s and I emailed them and got a response. They are sending a replacement out and a vase to say sorry. I thought that was very good customer service.

My Mother’s Day flowers were awful from M&S, I was really upset, most of them dead.
I am going to stick with Freddie’s for now.

Sloth66 · 19/03/2021 18:40

DS sent me flowers from bloom and wild.
Some flowers did revive, but all the pink roses wilted and looked dead.
Not sure how much he paid, but not good.

Sceptre86 · 19/03/2021 19:09

I use bunches or serenata flowers if you want ones that are yet to bloom. They last ages and have some very pretty bouquets. I tried bloom and wild flowers previously and wasn't that impressed.

SpringisSpinning · 19/03/2021 19:12

Op I had some and half flat as pancake and dead and brown and i was amazed by how much they did actually pick up!.

Alsohuman · 19/03/2021 19:18

According to my B&W account I’ve placed 33 orders. There hasn’t been a bad one yet.

IcelandThree · 19/03/2021 19:33

I received a bunch from B&W today, they were beautiful. The sender had paid extra for courier though rather than Royal Mail...maybe that's where it falls down sometimes.

Jumpingroo · 19/03/2021 19:37

It’s definitely the couriers that are the problem, my box had been put underneath my neighbours car and they had accidentally reversed over it.
