Dead Bloom & Wild Flowers

MrsAmaretto · 13/03/2021 18:19

Anyone else received an awful box of flowers from Bloom & Wild today?

I've had their flowers before but this time they are crushed, broken and going brown. I've actually cried, which is silly but what should have been something to make me smile looks like is needs to go in the bin.

As I said, I've had their flowers before but these are not going to perk up!

@Logoff

You were lucky that M&S customer service came up trumps, they were absolutely rubbish last year when I realised the address for some flowers for my Dad’s 80th were being sent to my address instead of his. Yes my mistake for clicking on the wrong address but this was days before the delivery was due and they wouldn’t budge an inch.

They should have tried, that’s bad. Mine were for a funeral, maybe I got lucky with someone sympathetic.

I use freddies flowers and really rate them. When I had an issue with my peonies last summer (some didn't open but rest of bunch was lovely) they were quick to respond and put a half price discount on my next order.

I wonder if B&W have expanded too much too soon and are struggling to keep up with demand.

Bloom and wild are the worst.

The feature that makes it attractive is that the flowers are supposed to be put through the letter box.

Have had several deliveries that were left in the bins Hmm and dead.

Would avoid.

Not difficult to put through the door.

florentina1 · 13/03/2021 20:27

They have gone down a lot. DH got me a subscription. I have had one lot replaced. I don’t think the boxes are strong enough. They seem worse when the weather is wet.

Chunkymenrock · 13/03/2021 20:28

My mum's from b+w came today and are amazing.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 13/03/2021 20:28

I use them quite a lot - had one rubbish bunch which they replaced straight away. Others have been fine. Customer service is really good

Trisolaris · 13/03/2021 20:31

I switched to bunches because bloom and wild were terrible. My friend who received some bunches flowers from me asked who I used as she thought they were so lovely and wanted to use them for Mother’s Day.

Calyx72 · 13/03/2021 20:40

£39 for the 'Florist's pick' from Bloom & Wild. Mum's delighted but I am disappointed. Maybe they will open up more in another day.

rosesarered321 · 13/03/2021 20:41

Out of five bunches I've had bought for me one has been lovely, the rest have been bad, i can't be arsed to call. I just say to the giver they're beautiful, what else can you do. I don't want to upset the person who kindly send them. The waste of money annoys me!

Unreasonabubble · 13/03/2021 20:46

Oh Dear! Bad Gateway. MN under attack again...

Moolan · 13/03/2021 20:46

Their customer service is good and they quickly resolve issues.
However, I wouldn’t use them again and I certainly wouldn’t send them as a gift as the effect is disappointing.

Veterinari · 13/03/2021 20:56

I use 'bunches' have been a customer for years, always excellent quality and reasonably priced

bestbefore · 13/03/2021 21:12

@Logoff since then I've had a text to say they will be delivered by dpd tomorrow - phew!

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 13/03/2021 21:16

My mum get hers on Thursday and they were lovely. They've always been very good at sending a replacement when they've fallen short though.

SendMeHome · 13/03/2021 21:16

We sent my MIL some, they arrived today and she loves them. She’s sent loads of photos already.

I’m sorry yours were rubbish.

Chickydoo · 13/03/2021 21:29

@Logoff mine says the same 😬

BigmouseLittlehouse · 13/03/2021 21:30

I bought my mum a 6 month subscription as a gift last year and 4 out of the 6 bunches had to be replaced. Whilst they did replace them it kind of takes the pleasure from receiving flowers tbh.

I’ve had some really nice individual deliveries sent to me by friends and some not great. I find them so inconsistent I no longer use them. I think because when they are damaged and dried they seem very damaged and dried!

How lovely is Mary? With a book of birds on her table, you can just tell that she is a really nice person!
BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 13/03/2021 21:38

Oh no. B&W flowers on the way to my mother tomorrow. Not holding out much hope now

Your mum is very sweet but £39 for what looks like mostly carnations?! CFery
BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 13/03/2021 21:42

It turns out I’ve ordered the same thing @Calyx72. Raging

chonkyy · 13/03/2021 21:51

Freddie's flowers are by far the best postal flowers I've used these lasted for so long. I've signed up now!
