Dead Bloom & Wild Flowers

MrsAmaretto · 13/03/2021 18:19

Anyone else received an awful box of flowers from Bloom & Wild today?

I've had their flowers before but this time they are crushed, broken and going brown. I've actually cried, which is silly but what should have been something to make me smile looks like is needs to go in the bin.

As I said, I've had their flowers before but these are not going to perk up!

First time I used them the flowers were really bad. Got a refund.

Tried them again after a bit on the basis that mistakes happen and everyone deserves a second chance. Also a mix of dead and wilted.

Never again.

FredaFox · 14/03/2021 11:32

My mums have arrived from B&W and are in perfect condition,
Reading this post it seems everybody has had issues with all the retailers listed, there’s no clear winner or stand out company
Hopefully everybody’s flowers today are beautiful 💐

cathyandclare · 14/03/2021 11:34

I've been using Haute Floriste recently, had some lovely deliveries. I had one dodgy B and W delivery and even though they gave me a voucher it put me off. I always rate M and S too, not tried Freddies' but I'm tempted after these reviews.

@CamborneMaid

Another vote for using Cornish blooms if you prefer letterbox. These were my Mums she received yesterday.

I've tried a couple of different letterbox ones like Bloom & Wild but they weren't great.

I ordered from a local florist for my Nan and for £15 she had a beautiful bouquet delivered today,so I would definitely go with a local florist again.

Beautiful bouquet. Quick word of advice. Not a good idea to put daffodils in a vase with other flowers as their slime damages other species. They look lovely as a spring display but put the daffodils in a separate vase and they will all last longer.

I’d really recommend Bunches - especially the oriental orchids. Lovely company to deal with also. 💐

I had some that were half dead. They took my friend they would perk up. She insisted I had more and they were lovely

Unreasonabubble · 14/03/2021 11:42

Bloom & Wild customer services have contacted me and they are sending me another bunch of flowers, along with a voucher. They asked if I could upload some photos for them to see which flowers are dead and I shall be doing that shortly.

They have been very helpful and kind in their responses to me.

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 14/03/2021 11:43

My family bought bloom and wild flowers for our mum twice and both times they were bloody awful, dead, bits missing whatever and customer services couldn't have cared less. I'll never buy anything from them again.

viques · 14/03/2021 11:47

My last bloom and wild was a box of their tulips with the bulb still on. I was sceptical so I cut half of them off, but IMO the bulb on ones lasted quite a bit longer than the bulb off ones. Though it’s always hard to tell with tulips because I love them when they start to droop a bit and drop the odd petal.

I will plant out the bulbs and see if they do grow, though I am wearing my sceptical hat again since I don’t know how they will manage to replenish their energy.

Yiayoula · 14/03/2021 11:47

I’d not heard of Cornish Blooms before this thread - but a friend has just sent me a photo of her Mother’s Day flowers, which look stunning - and turns out that’s who her daughter used.

magicstar1 · 14/03/2021 11:50

I’ve used Bloom & Wild for a few years now and never had a bad one.

ShoppingBasket · 14/03/2021 11:50

Oh no, I've ordered from them for my MIL. She usually sends me a photo of them but didn't get any today. Bugger.

seepingweeping · 14/03/2021 11:51

Im currently looking at a 1/2 dead bunch of b&w flowers.

Replacements coming soon.

oatmilk4breakfast · 14/03/2021 11:52

This is likely to Brexit and supply chain related...

Crinkle77 · 14/03/2021 12:19

I've had 2 lots from them. The first lot were awful. Already dying and didn't perk up. The replacement bunch were better but still not amazing and didn't last long.

isobelmillsuk · 14/03/2021 13:34

Hi everyone, I am the Head of Customer Delight at Bloom & Wild and I wanted to thank you for all the feedback on this thread- we'll make sure this is all taken on board and Flower Team will be going back through any emails we receive to make sure we're not repeating these issues.

My team are all working this weekend, so if at all possible and you've had a disappointing bouquet with us, please can you email [email protected] and we can put this right for you with a replacement (or a credit/refund if you'd prefer).

Thanks so much, Isobel

SunshineCake · 14/03/2021 13:45

@rosesarered321

Out of five bunches I've had bought for me one has been lovely, the rest have been bad, i can't be arsed to call. I just say to the giver they're beautiful, what else can you do. I don't want to upset the person who kindly send them. The waste of money annoys me!
By not telling the truth they are wasting more money if they order again for others!
WeatherwaxLives · 14/03/2021 13:48

I wouldn't recommend bunches - I've used them several times and always got the ones in a vase for my very elderly and frail DGM so she literally just has to put them on the side, no faffing. But hey seem to have stopped doing vases so for her bday this month I ordered a bunch delivered to me so I could get me parents (her bubble) to take them and do the tittivatng for her.

Well thank god I did get them delivered to me, they were droopy, bashed about, freesias were all 'bruised'. They looked bloody awful. I cut the stems and put them in water for 8hrs and they looked better, but still bruised. So disappointed.

I've also been underwhelmed with B&W flowers I've sent and had a 'thank you' picture from the recipient. I just don't trust delivered flowers anymore, I'm just going to be buying different gifts until in person giving is allowed again.

flatcoatfan · 14/03/2021 14:02

@isobelmillsuk the customer service at Bloom and Wild is one of the best I have experienced. Incidentally, my Bloom and Wild flowers have always been lovely.

Iloveacurry · 14/03/2021 14:45

@isobelmillsuk my mum’s flowers, which arrived today, were lovely.

StepOutOfLine · 14/03/2021 14:50

I will never use B&W again. I had a first beautiful delivery for several elderly female relatives one Christmas (after reading about them on here, I'm wondering now if they're another company who've been busy over the last couple of years with the product placement threads) The following year I ordered from them again (I'm abroad so getting deliveries is vital) and they were shocking. So bad. My cousin sent me photos saying "are you feeling a bit hard up or something this year" I was mortified.

I just stick to M&S now.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 14/03/2021 14:55

@StepOutOfLine that was rude of your cousin Shock

I would tell someone if their flowers arrived in less than favourable condition because they’re not cheap and I’d give the opportunity to flag it up with the company but tactfully of course!! If he outraged if someone informed me like that.

luckylavender · 14/03/2021 14:56

I love B&W, use them a lot & they're always lovely.

AuntyMabelandPippin · 14/03/2021 15:14

@isobelmillsuk my DS sent me B&W flowers this year. They arrived on Friday and are lovely.

LittleRen · 14/03/2021 15:21

I have had tons of bloom and wild.. they often look half dead when they arrive but really do perk up after 24 hours in water.
