Whether an actual gift or the gift of peace and quiet lol
I'm not one for gifts. I'm happy with a bunch of flowers.
A friend of mine expects and would be quite arsey about not getting what she wants. Her dc are of an age where her dh has to buy. She's got a huge list.
I then think I'm boring for just enjoying a nice bunch of flowers or something along with a lie in

This year I have ordered a box of cupcakes as my friend makes them. But tbh it's mainly just for an after dinner treat for all of us.

Do you have any special requests or wishes

Homemade cards. A book from my Amazon wishlist, and a day off any kind of housework. Rn my kids, aged 8 and 6, are cleaning with my husband. My husband bought me some chocolates which we are all sharing. And I’m mumsnetting on the sofa which is lovely!

Come Father’s Day he also gets a day off housework or cooking.

Thanks @LadyofMisrule

The 3 youngest forgot (or never realised) then 18yo DD got up at 2pm and gave me a box of brownies from Blissful Pig Vegan Bakery, which I'd asked for.
None of them will be getting any of the brownies 🐷🐷😁
