Hi MrsDeacon
I think a lot of us feel that these threads have been a really important corner of sanity where no one gets shouted at and abused!

The thing about TB has utterly pissed me off all along. Let's face it, it's snobbery and racism...they're poor and 'over there' Hmm

@AcornAutumn I have a thread going in General Health, so fine to ask. I have got a problem with my foot which I have spoken about on these threads before, but this is not connected. In the last few days, I am literally having to use the banister to drag myself up the stairs and my legs feel so heavy. I feel like I can’t lift them without an immense effort. I honestly thought I wasn’t going to make it last night. I put all this and more on the E Consult.

I don’t think a telephone appointment is enough as it is a significant change, that is all they have offered and I don’t know where else to turn.

I don't want to alarm you but I'd go to A&E. it could be a blood clot.

It could be a cyst - my mum ignored this kind of system and she had a cyst somewhere which burst and left her immobile. She was lucky dad and I were there at the time, though we were well pissed off she hadn't told us about the leg pain at all.

She recovered fine but not weight bearing for two weeks could have been avoided.

Please go to A&E. Your GP will just put you on a list for a scan. Okay, they might book you urgent appointment but why not go now? Flowers

justasking111 · 24/02/2021 20:06

@Evenstar that's bad, is it a new symptom??

AcornAutumn · 24/02/2021 20:07

*cyst
I thought id switched off autocorrect.

justasking111 · 24/02/2021 20:07

Are your toes pink?

justasking111 · 24/02/2021 20:08

I'm with@AcornAutumn

Evenstar · 24/02/2021 20:11

Yes a new symptom. @justasking111 my toes are pink and no numbness anywhere.

Evenstar · 24/02/2021 20:13

Thank you for sharing that @AcornAutumn, I hadn’t considered anything like that ☹️

AcornAutumn · 24/02/2021 20:25

Interesting link

A carer friend just had hers and said it's partly because she thinks we will all be forced to

I suppose I was hoping the opposite - take this time and opt out if they ever calm down.

Worldgonecrazy · 24/02/2021 20:38

I could understand the vaccine enforcement if we were looking at a really dangerous disease, and for all the hype and constant death messaging, covid isn’t that dangerous to most of us. That is the bit I really can’t get my head around. None of this feels right.

Well, anyone who has seen me in these threads knows how I feel

I don't talk about any of it IRL because I'm thoroughly beaten, in a tiny minority.

Whatever they are up to, the tiny minority who are against it can do nothing as there's so few of us.

It's bad enough when people go to B&M and Primark. Nasty disease spreading proles. Hmm Wink

(sorry to all that my last post is on twice... I think MN is having a server or other Web nightmare at the moment??)

I'm always in the 'check it out and make a fuss' camp with weird physical stuff...sounds very odd. Good luck

@MercyBooth

Good God!!
It's not just me?

I'm so sick of being called a CT.

AcornAutumn · 24/02/2021 23:21

I am happy to go nowhere that requires such a thing but the catch is I have to use public transport.

MercyBooth · 24/02/2021 23:25

@AcornAutumn Saw this posted on another thread. Copy and paste.......

"While I don't feel suicidal, I am questioning my future in this country. If this was rolled out in the way I have heard suggested, i.e. domestically for entry into any leisure establishment, then I think I would protest in the way of a previous poster by boycotting all, saving up hard and getting the hell out of here. All roads have led to the covid passport, whether people want to see that or not. The government WANT to bring it in, it's a question of whether they can get away with it. Most people on this thread would happily let them.

I agree also that this is a brand new, experimental biotechnology that many people have strong reservations about. I find the insistence that everyone should have it appalling, and the language surrounding those less willing to try it out disgusting. None of this is by accident. Like I say, all roads have led to this.

It's not about being anti-science. Science isn't axiomatic and scientists are fallible and corruptible. I find the way this country has turned on itself, and turned into a scared, paranoid and authoritarian loving cesspit so scary.. It happened so fast and so completely. So yes, if it goes down we're outta here. Things will get bad anyway, even if it doesn't go that way. Who would invest in a business in this country now? Knowing how the government can just shut you down in an 'emergency', physically and metaphorically"

LivinLaVidaLoki · 25/02/2021 06:53

Hi everyone! Just catching up with the thread. I would definitely go to a and e @Evenstar

LivinLaVidaLoki · 25/02/2021 06:55

Just been "over there" and can't believe how miserable it still is. Though they are making me question something.

They all seem to be under the impression that Whitty/Valance said the other night we will need masks through to at least this winter.

That's not what was said though is it?

It was said masks may be needed next winter.

They are completing a review of social distancing before the last step. It is likely that over the summer non pharmaceutical intervention will be personal choice, but it is likely we may need masks next winter.

Not that we will be wearing them all summer and into winter.

Or am I imagining things?

I think some people are desperate to have something visual to judge others on along with some that simply like the ability to hide behind a mask.

Boris said the final stage would be to remove all legal restrictions and mask wearing is surely included in that. I anticipate it being at most a recommended action rather than a legal one and I know in RL the majority will discard them once that happens. They have repeatedly said once it is just another virus we deal with like flu every year then things like mask wearing will be a personal or societal choice.

I really can't give much weight to those still doing the but but but we will have to do this and that because it feels like they are desperate for some control to remain but I only see that here amongst the really covid anxious and not anywhere else.

flower11 · 25/02/2021 08:48

I've heard all restrictions gone June 21st what I heard yesterday, not sure where was masks may have to come back for winter season and distancing too.
