Just head that Prince Charles has been to visit him in hospital due to ‘exceptional circumstances’. He’s never visited him in hospital before and apparently left looking emotional. It doesn’t look good does it? I wonder how this will play out given the pandemic?

It’s quite something the way this is glossed over. This was far worse than anything H&M did.

Yet I’ve seen Sophie being held up as an example Meghan should be following 😂

Anyone still unaware of Tampongate can always google it (if you can stand it ...), but however seedy, at least that involved consenting adults

The whole half-in-half-out thing has been shown not to work and the fall out takes years to fix.

Agree - it's exactly why they know half-and-half doesn't work

The Countess of Wessex was very low profile for a very long time after that, and it was a couple of decades of unexceptionable duties to build the current reputation

I know! It was absolutely gobsmacking and they played the call on telly. I remember finding it hilariously cringeworthy. Don't think the marriage with Diana had even properly split at that point.

There's so much we forget... Anne's first husband fathering a child with someone else while still married to her, Fergie getting pissed and offering access to Andrew for £500K, and her two Oprah interviews spilling her guts, and so on and on.

What a family!

If you see what old Uncle Dickey Mountbatten was rumoured to get up to on his jaunts to Ireland, Andrew allegedly abusing teen girls probably seems a refreshingly traditional past time to the royals.
Really? What is he supposed to have done in Ireland?

Have a look at his Wikipedia page. It's openly reported.

If you needed someone to look after your boats in the summer would you employ a) an adult with experience of sailing and looking after boats or b) a child

There's a lot more evidence out there if you look for it.

The FBI files on Mountbatten are pretty damning.

He and his wife were both known for their affairs and even their children knew of her lovers from a young age as they’d be around the family home.

Visiting that boys home, there really isn't anything good to be discovered there, no reasonable explanation.

This is the man who was entrusted with the child Prince Charles' mentorship and Prince Philip before him. Hmm

Personally I can't believe nobody was ever outed for recording it
I believe it was said to be a rogue radio ham, but with their contacts I'd have expected them to find out exactly who it was and prosecute

Maybe it was really Philip ... ? Grin

Exactly.

I doubt it'll ever come out completely. These files seem to have a habit of getting lost, or needing to be locked again for security reasons (like the legal advice and discussions on Charles' marriage to Camilla).

My favourite royal news hiding in plain sight is that Anne is regularly photographed out and about with Andrew Parker Bowles at the races.

It's known they are an item, he'll be hanging about in the background sort of out of shot, or possibly in shot and the caption will say it's him.

But of all the people in all the world, Anne had to couple up with Camilla's ex. It's bizarre.

But apparently not worthy of comment because we love Anne and have the designated scapegoats to look at.
