Aside from the slightly acquired decorative taste... wtf is with them sneaking their tea set (or part of it) into as many pictures as possible? Grin bonus points when it’s photographed with muffins or a cheese board...

Wow, what a house! Obviously it'd need updated, decor wise, but I've never just moved in to any house and not changed the decor.

The painting of the pissed-off bairn made me laugh - I'm sure I have that same facial expression most of the time!

foofooyeah · 13/02/2021 22:40

Thanks. I really needed a laugh and this did the trick!

Roadtohades · 13/02/2021 22:42

Love it!

scrappydappydoo · 13/02/2021 22:46

I need to know about the old couple in the garden. Are they part of the sale? I have a feeling that if they are moved then baaad things will happen - same also goes for creepy child painting. Perhaps the tea sets and cheese boards are offerings?

orangenasturtium · 13/02/2021 22:46

This is not just staging, this is M&S staging...

I think first place for photobombing goes to the pair of scented candles, not the tea set, with the vase of long stemmed roses in third. Honourable mentions go the the pair of tea light lanterns and succulents.

The port is branded as M&S but the cheese board also looks like their Christmas selection, the lanterns, candles and plants (I recognise the pots) are definitely M&S... I think someone ran into the local store and grabbed an armful of props.

bumpdownthestairs · 13/02/2021 22:48

@InsaneLockdowner I had that exact bedding as a child, now in my 30's! What a hideous blast from the past 😂😂

makingmyway10 · 13/02/2021 22:48

Ha ha the vase of white roses that appears in every shot! Grin

Heavymetaldetector · 13/02/2021 22:49

Comes with free set of twins to play with. Forever. And ever. And ever.

Cherry321 · 13/02/2021 22:49

I love it all except the statues sitting on the bench in the garden. They are a bit creepy.

ThatLibraryMiss · 13/02/2021 22:50

@Bluntness100

Wow, all that house for that price, where I live you’d get a three bed terrace for that,,,,if you are Lucky.

Beautiful house, with a very low price due to its location,

It's in one of the nice posh areas of Wakefield, albeit on a main road and just up from Asda/Aldi. There are some gorgeous houses in Sandal.
SophieLeGiraffe · 13/02/2021 22:50

Never mind all that what is the “aquagym” in the bathroom over the spa bath in picture 33? It looks like a subbed over the top?

TheYearOfSmallThings · 13/02/2021 22:55

I feel like I stayed there after a wedding about 15 years ago, and it already felt like stepping back in time then.

Marley20 · 13/02/2021 22:55

I haven't seen a house decorated like this since the 90s. I'd forgotten how hideous it all was. Gorgeous house though, do you think they'd throw in the tea set?

AWaspOnAWindowReturns · 13/02/2021 22:59

Is that a sunbed over the bath? Confused

Carryingon · 13/02/2021 23:00

Horrible kitchen and garden

Chanandlerbong01 · 13/02/2021 23:01

I love this house! I have a friend that lives on that road, close to this house. All of the houses are beautiful. I wish I had £700,000

minniemoll · 13/02/2021 23:05

Well it's a gorgeous house, but it'd cost at least £150k at a rough guess to erase all traces of the 1980s/90s and make it liveable inside. Those pelmets! At least the teaset would be easy to box up and send to charity...

showmethegin · 13/02/2021 23:05

I'm sure photo 36 was where Kevin McCallister shouted "I don't want to see any of you again for the rest of my whole life!" in home alone before they all fucked off the Paris and left him

Miranda15110 · 13/02/2021 23:08

Half expected the tray to turn up on top of the bidet.

Viviennemary · 13/02/2021 23:12

It's a little bit on the creepy side. Would expect it to maybe have a ghost. Who used to enjoy afternoon tea.

wavecatcher · 13/02/2021 23:13

The cheese and grapes shot is brilliant, it's almost like an Instagram flatlay. Is the new house selling trend, maybe they will start seasonal dressing next with a Christmas tree and Easter eggs.

Gobbeldegook · 13/02/2021 23:16

Looks like a place of horror. The couple from the bench come alive at night and murder you if they catch you awake.

PickAChew · 13/02/2021 23:17

There's more photos of teacups than of bedrooms. Just the one bedroom, which according to the brochure is "fit for royalty." tye bedroom 4 that looks to be a corridor with a sink in it, on the floor plan, is probably where they'd put Prince Andrew.

PickAChew · 13/02/2021 23:33

Ah, spotted a second bedroom photographed. Bedrooms 2 and 4 and the loft room, which must be the 5th bedroom, remain a mystery.

TheFairyCaravan · 13/02/2021 23:34

I love that house. I don’t mind all the chintz if I’m honest. Blush

I had Pierrot bedding, too. I’m 50 in a couple of weeks. According to Pinterest it’s now classed as rare and vintage 😂
