We're having bangers & mash, with veg, yorkshire puddings & gravy. Dd2's helping to cook.

Fish pie and loads of peas. Might also make an Eve’s pudding spongey type pudding with fruit I’ve got languishing in the freezer.

We are having the same, just in a different configuration 😊
Toad in the hole

H1978 · 07/02/2021 14:11

We are having a meat free day today so it’s nachos with plant based mince and taco beans. Might also do a side of mozarella sticks and onion rings.

WouldstrokeTomHardy · 07/02/2021 14:16

Richmond meat free sausage and mash with Peas, possibly Yorkshire and onion gravy

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 07/02/2021 14:23

Idle Pie is a beef shin, potato and onion pie. Filling cooks entirely inside the piecrust and is super delicious.

C0nn1e · 07/02/2021 14:31

Roast pork, roast potatoes, swede/carrot mash, red cabbage, sprouts, apple sauce and gravy.
We were going to have proffiterols but they havent been successful so it will be baked apples and cream for pudding

Ninkanink · 07/02/2021 14:35

I’ve got a full turkey leg in the freezer waiting to be roasted, and a huge portion of our Christmas red cabbage in the freezer as well. Going to have a full on mini Christmas dinner with all the trimmings soon, around the end of Feb/beginning of March, and I’m already looking forward to it! There will be enough for turkey sandwiches too!

lucysmam · 07/02/2021 15:03

@TooMinty I love toad in the hole; I'm bloody useless at it though :( My yorkshire either sticks & burns, or isn't crispy enough 🤷‍♀️

Pork stroganoff, mash and lots of kale.

Autumn101 · 07/02/2021 15:10

Was going to be roast beef but snow is coming down and settling and it’s the first snow we’ve had! DC don’t remember snow (our first UK winter in 8 years) so are wildly excited so I think we’ll just go out and play and I’ll just do something quick like pasta instead.

8Track · 07/02/2021 15:11

Roast jerk chicken thighs, roast potatoes. I quite fancy it with gravy, so maybe some carrots too?

Just used up my dough, which was itself using up some fresh cranberries, to make another tray of squishy choc chip and cranberry cookies.

Still got a few berries left, so going to make an apple and berry spiced crumble. I think I'm going all Stone Age and trying to eat for hibernation!!

FlamingGreatGalaahs · 07/02/2021 15:18

I put the dish on the hob to keep the oil hot while I pour the batter in, I think that is the secret...

Hobnobswantshernameback · 07/02/2021 16:13

Turkey tacos. Never tried them with minced turkey before so fingers crossed they turn out ok!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 07/02/2021 16:23

Bit basic here - i made a chicken, broccoli and mozzarella pasta bake, with loads of garlic spring onions, and double cream. We’ll have it with garlic bread, and then sticky toffee pudding and custard.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 07/02/2021 16:28
