We're having bangers & mash, with veg, yorkshire puddings & gravy. Dd2's helping to cook.

What's everyone else having? :)

Rolled sirloin of beef, roast parsnips, potatoes, roasted carrots, green veg and a red wine and beef gravy.

mbosnz · 07/02/2021 12:43

Homemade cheeseburgers for the girls, homemade chicken satay burgers for us, with homemade chips. It's becoming something of a Sunday habit!

TheChosenTwo · 07/02/2021 12:44

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, roasted carrot parsnip and beetroot (these bits all get done in the same tray with garlic and herbs etc, just have a glut of them and need to use them up!), broccoli, maybe pigs in blankets and probably Yorkshire puddings - I know it’s not roast beef but we all love them!
And a white chocolate, lime and ginger cheesecake which I’m in charge of making but totally forgot until just now, better get on with it Grin

Lamb slow cooked with anchovies, red wine, rosemary, garlic stock and veg - makes THE BEST gravy. With roast potatoes, carrots, green beans and homemade mint sauce.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 07/02/2021 12:45

Fish fingers sandwiches! Nice cod fillet ones for the fish counter at the supermarket and fresh sourdough from the market. With baby spinach and rocket. Then spoil it all with salad cream instead of tartare sauce.

AnaisNun · 07/02/2021 12:45

Spaghetti and meatballs- DS’ favourite. But I’ve cheated and bought one of the M&S meatball traybakes because I feel like all I do these days is work, cook and wash up.

MindfulBitch · 07/02/2021 12:45

Steak
Chorizo
Garlic bread
Tiny roast potatoes, can't think what they are called but they are in a tray from m and s.
Some veg but not sure what we have. Possibly green beans or broccoli

Then trifle.

mootymoo · 07/02/2021 12:47

Roast chicken and all the trimmings

WishingHopingThinkingPraying · 07/02/2021 12:47

M&S lasagne chips and avocado salad. M&S syrup pudding and ice cream for dessert.

Mrsjayy · 07/02/2021 12:48

Steak pie mash and peas and carrots, no pudding because I forgot to buy 1

Ninkanink · 07/02/2021 12:49

@InDubiousBattle butter and very generous glug of olive oil in a pan, slice the cabbage thinly, discard any very thick stalks, pile it all into the pan, add garlic (fresh or granules) and salt and fry on a medium heat. You can add a splash of water to help it steam and cook down more quickly. We like it with a bit of char to it so when it’s softened I’ll turn the heat up and let it get golden brown and delicious. About 15-20 minutes cooking time, I think. Add white pepper if you want a more spicy element.

yearinyearout · 07/02/2021 12:49

Beef stifado with some kind of veg, undecided.

2anddone · 07/02/2021 12:50

Roast chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, peas and Yorkshire pudding followed by salted caramel cheesecake

Ninkanink · 07/02/2021 12:50

Oh if you have a lid you can use that during the steaming/cooking down phase.

MiltonRoad · 07/02/2021 12:52

Breakfast - sausages, bacon, black pudding, hash browns, fried eggs and bread, mushrooms, plum tomatoes and, beans for those that like them. And a massive mug of tea.

APurpleSquirrel · 07/02/2021 12:52

Frittata using up some leftover chorizo, pepperoni etc from pizzas last week, with lots of green veg.

applecatchers36 · 07/02/2021 12:54

Kids will have ice cream for pud

lucysmam · 07/02/2021 12:55

@midnightstar66 our half term's not until next week so I still have to get up to supervise breakfast club :( I was secretly hoping for a snow day but we've only had a few small flurries ❄🌨

You've still inspired me to make it one night this week when I'm stuck in a "don't know what to make" moment :)

Roast beef, roast potatoes, carrots, sweet potato, broccoli and green beans, Yorkshire’s and gravy. Bottle of red and a rhubarb crumble for afters. Weather demands comfort food!

AngelsWithSilverWings · 07/02/2021 12:57

Lamb pilaf from Gousto for lunch and probably sandwiches or toast for tea

Icantfindanewname · 07/02/2021 12:58

Going traditional(ish) here. Roast pork with lots of crackling, Yorkshires (hence the ish), roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, flat beans and sugar snaps. Contemplating making a microwaved treacle sponge for after. Just been moaned at as I suggested making a Victoria sponge - apparently it's boring without cream. I live with philistines... Grin

idontlikealdi · 07/02/2021 12:58

Afelia - Greek marinated pork in coriander, lemon roast potatoes and something green , possibly salad

LST · 07/02/2021 13:00

I still have no idea. I am sick of the same stuff all the time but I also can't be bothered to try anything new. I wish dp would get in from work and say he will cook! But thats wishful thinking

DragonPoop · 07/02/2021 13:03
