We're having bangers & mash, with veg, yorkshire puddings & gravy. Dd2's helping to cook.

What's everyone else having? :)

Roasted chicken, potatoes, parsnips & carrots. Sprouts, cauliflower, carrots & green beans. Stuffing. Yorkshire puddings.

Pear and ginger puff pastry tart to follow.

We always have roast in the evening not for lunch.
Snacked on homemade choc chip brioche around lunchtime.

VirtualLearning are you asking if people have a roast both for lunch and then again for a dinner?
Because I have honestly never heard of that in my entire life! Here we tend to have a late breakfast/brunch then a roast around 1900. So today poached egg with spinach & baked tomatoes on toast at about 10 then roast gammon, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, green beans and gravy in 10 mins!

Old school, today. Beef stewed all afternoon with mushrooms, served with mash and savoy cabbage. Very tasty and warming

Steak, dauphinoise potatoes, parsnip puree, peas, focaccia bread and homemade salted caramel brownies. Decided not to get a supermarket deal and just cook a special dinner for all of the family for Valentines night.

Spicey bean burger and halloumi in a bun, oven french fries, salad, tomatoes, coleslaw.

We had a special valentines dinner for all of us - roast beef, Yorkshire puds, dauphinois potatoes, roast parsnips, cavalo Nero and carrots. Chocolate fondant, raspberries and vanilla ice cream for dessert.
Tomorrow I'm eating fresh air and lettuce leaves 🥬

Thanks AtleastitsnotMonday Yes i was just surprised as never heard of Sunday roasts in the evening and only associate them with Sunday lunches all my 40 something years. Clearly I am a bit clueless !

I have a chilli in the slow cooker. We’ll have it with rice this evening, then I’ll portion the leftovers for later in the week. My children are quite fond of hot lunches, and I’m fond of easy meals:o

Ninkanink · 15/02/2021 16:29

Dd2's cooking chicken burgers with salad and chips tonight - with supervision.

So far she's grated cheese, got all the salad out and set the table she's talking my ear off while the cooker warms up now Grin

Last night we had baked Camembert with DH’s home made bread.
I don’t know what we will have this evening - I haven’t asked him yet. Grin

mogloveseggs · 16/02/2021 12:09

Ninkanink · 16/02/2021 13:31

DH is having pancakes as an afternoon tea today. We won’t have pancakes for dinner as I’m low carbing and wouldn’t have any.

I’ve not decided what we’ll have for dinner. Maybe a lamb curry, or possibly something very easy like Korean omelette.

Bluesheep8 · 16/02/2021 13:59

Dusted sole, new potatoes and salad.

Autumn101 · 16/02/2021 14:48

Pancakes for very meal today! We had them with fruit for breakfast, spicy chicken fajita style for lunch, sausage pancakes for tea and then thick puffy pancakes with chocolate sauce and ice cream for pudding.

We love pancake day

mamaduckbone · 16/02/2021 19:30

We had pancakes for lunch - nobody likes savoury fillings so we just had sweet - various combinations of raspberries, banana, Nutella, syrup, oranges and sugar.

Home made meatballs, spaghetti, tomato sauce and salad for dinner.

Tangledtresses · 16/02/2021 19:32

I had 3 pans go to make 3 millionity pancakes! Salted caramel sauce anyone?
