Inspired by another thread. I think I was quite late losing mine, I was 25. What about you?

38! If anyone had even looked at me twice before that, believe me I would have grabbed them with both hands.

TheVeryHungryTortoise · 04/02/2021 12:54

16 with my new "boyfriend" at the time. I didn't feel comfortable going ahead with full sex after some heavy kissing but he went ahead and raped me anyway. It took me a long time to get over the shame, especially as he spread some horrible rumours and I lost our shared friendship group at the time. There were a horrible few years after of going off the rails, drug taking and sleeping with various strangers. I messed up my A levels too which wasn't ideal.

Thankfully, I found some amazing friends at Uni and now I'm studying graduate Medicine. That old life doesn't even feel like it belongs to me anymore.

  1. I really wanted it when I was 15 with my 23 year old boyfriend, but he didn't want to. Thank God! What was I thinking? He could have gone to prison Hmm
garlictwist · 04/02/2021 12:55

I was pretty old (22).

DP (male) was 13. I find this shockingly young but he thinks it's completely fine.

Mrsbadger77 · 04/02/2021 12:56

I was almost 17 with my lovely boyfriend, who actually even now that I'm married I regret ever breaking up with him!!

Tatum1234 · 04/02/2021 12:57
  1. Still together 22 years later.
Mrsmummy90 · 04/02/2021 12:59

Some of these are heartbreaking.
I'm so sorry to all of you who've suffered xx

At first I thought you'd done it together when he was 13 and you were 22 and I was Shock! Grin

I was 20 when I had PIV sex.

southern82 · 04/02/2021 13:02

13, way too young

Biscoffontoast · 04/02/2021 13:02

22, although foreplay etc from 16.

Crazybunnylady123 · 04/02/2021 13:03
  1. With my boyfriend of the same age. First time for both of us. I don’t regret it because I loved him very much. We were together for almost three years. But he turned out to be an arsehole in the end.

  1. Remember it all so well,we were 'in Love ' Grin
JellyNellie · 04/02/2021 13:04

17 and got pregnant 🤦🏻‍♀️

Makingnumber2 · 04/02/2021 13:06

17, nearly 18.

Lessstressedhemum · 04/02/2021 13:07

Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern. The abuse went on for over a decade but honestly, I'm fine. It was a long time ago.
It affected me horrendously when I was a teenager, but by that time I was being regularly sexually bullied at school and I'd been raped twice by other people. So it all just seemed normal to me.

I decided long ago not to let all that define me and I have moved past it for the most part. But I'm horrified by how young I became consensually sexually active. I was about 13 when my boyfriend and I were doi g everything but piv. I look at my kids and think that they were only children at that age.

My heart breaks for everyone on here who has been abused and raped. I'm so sorry. I hope that you are all able to put it behind you and be happyFlowers

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 04/02/2021 13:07

Just turned 16. I didn't know it was going to happen until it was actually happening. It was awful and painful.

It was with someone I had admired for ages. Turns out he was vile. He was a couple of years older. It is not a pleasant memory.

nowbringmethathorizon · 04/02/2021 13:08

18

bonbonours · 04/02/2021 13:09

16 with long term boyfriend and we waited til his 16th birthday. Also so terrified we used double condoms and the pill. Lol.

CrunchyCarrot · 04/02/2021 13:13

Very old. 33!

HappyFlamingo · 04/02/2021 13:14

16 (and 3 weeks!). It seems really young now I have teens of my own, but it was a positive experience for me and we were together for nearly three years on and off.

Bbq1 · 04/02/2021 13:17
  1. It was worth the wait and was very special. With my dh of 22 years.
Nunoftheother · 04/02/2021 13:18

22, and still pissed off about the circumstances surrounding it.

astuz · 04/02/2021 13:21

17, but kind of regret it really. My Mum was (still is) very religious and had very fixed views about no sex before marriage (I'm an atheist, although didn't realise it at the time). I was still living at home then, so it all had to be furtive - we couldn't ever sleep the whole night together. I did feel pressured into it really, but not because I didn't want to do it, it was because I knew my Mum would have disapproved, and I was terrified of getting caught.

I wished I'd waited until I was at Uni & left home - in fact I went a bit mad once I did get to Uni! Sex, drinking, clubbing all night. I had a whale of a time and still managed to get a good degree.

feistyoneyouare · 04/02/2021 13:22
  1. I felt embarrassed to have held on to it till so relatively late (I was crap at relationships when younger), but my mum got really upset when she found out I was sexually active. She assumed (wrongly) it was down to peer pressure at uni, and it turned out she'd 'hoped' I'd stay a virgin till I got married. I was gobsmacked, especially as she isn't especially religious and had been urging me for years to carry condoms in my handbag 'just in case'. Mixed messages much? Grin
drkpl · 04/02/2021 13:24

2 weeks before my 16th birthday. I wasn’t ready, but felt I had to be ready. I was the one who suggested it to the boy. We basically arranged to dtd next time we saw each other. Why I put myself through that, I’ll never know. I wouldn’t say I was mature enough until 19 but unfortunately I had many sexual experiences before then. I was trying to prove myself somehow. Years later, I realised I’m actually not a very sexual person at all.
