Inspired by another thread. I think I was quite late losing mine, I was 25. What about you?

which time?...

WhateverJudy · 04/02/2021 12:34

Horrified by how young many people on here were. I was 18 with a long term boyfriend and it was perfect. We didn’t last but a positive first sexual encounter has shaped my following relationships in a very good way. I shudder to think about the impacts a bad first time would have Sad

  1. I grew up in a home of DV and had terrible anxiety when it came to men. I would nearly vomit with fear if one started to move from being just a friend to more. Finally found one where everything seemed to click into place and lost it to him. Whatever we had crashed and burned within 2 days. Luckily the next one was much better and we've now been married 5 months so no regrets!
Petitmum · 04/02/2021 12:35

18 ...........first serious relationship, we were married for 16 years!

Dollywilde · 04/02/2021 12:35

17, first time for the guy I was with too, we were girlfriend and boyfriend. It was okay, don’t regret it. Got together with my first love a few months later and tbh I was pleased I’d got it out of the way as sex with him was amazing from the start and I doubt that would have been the case if I’d been a virgin!

  1. He was 19 and gorgeous.

16 by choice

Lalalatte · 04/02/2021 12:38

21 .
A lot of the girls at school lost it from aged 12, 13. A school friend had a nickname 'Mary' , I asked her why and she said it because she was a virgin . She was 15 at the time.

Positivevibesonlyplease · 04/02/2021 12:38

@Chipsahoy so sad to hear this.

  1. I think it was different in the 80s & 90s. Far more relaxed. I had fun and absolutely no regrets - as it should be!

Some sad posts here of exploitation - I hope that girls nowadays would speak up about this.

Graciebobcat · 04/02/2021 12:44

bellsbuss · 04/02/2021 12:45

@Lessstressedhemum I feel so sad that you went through that at age , truly heartbreakingly awful.

I was 18 and was the last out of my friendship group, most of my friends lost theirs at 13 or 14 and this was late 80s

Mrsmummy90 · 04/02/2021 12:48

Was ready from 15 but lost it at 16

  1. And I didn't so much lose it as take it for a walk in the woods and abandon it tied to a fence.
