At what age did you lose your virginity?

Inspired by another thread. I think I was quite late losing mine, I was 25. What about you?

17 but very close to being 18. I felt like it was really late at the time as most of my friends had done so I rushed into it with a guy. Wish I waited longer and with a guy who actually cared about me. Dp was 18 too.

13. Pissed at a party. My best friend's boyfriend, who had just taken her virginity, came into the room I was in and, well, 'climbed on' is the best way I can describe it. I didn't freak out really, I was so drunk, it just happened without my input and then he got off and then openly talked about it as if he was a big man. As an adult I feel weird about it but back then it was just brushed over. I was more upset that my friend found out, we're still good friends 30 years later and she still rags me about shagging her first boyfriend but I'm not sure if I did 'shag' him now.

Just after my 15th birthday, still with now DH all these years later so no regrets here

16 - had been together two years by then, we were both drunk and it was a bit underwhelming! Stayed together another two years and then split. Met up again many, many years later, got married when I was 50 and been together very happily ever since. We both really regret the intervening years though, we should have tried harder but we were young and silly.

Don't regret it at all. We were both mature and ready. Very fond memories of my first proper boyfriend.

The concept of 'virginity' is a shit patriarchal construct.

I first had penetrative sex at 14, with my boyfriend, was on the pill and it was talked about first.

Didn’t actually have any good sex until age 21.

18, just shy of my 19th birthday. I only did it because everyone else had and no one believed I was a virgin, he was putting pressure on me and totally ignored me afterward. So so wish it hadn’t happened that way.

14 y9 didn't last and then met someone else again 14. 1st I think wtf but peer pressure and the 2nd chap we dated for a year. My dd is 11 and it gives me the eebie jeebies thinking about it

Not to be weird but I think if the question was when did you have your first orgasm the answers would be very different. I know mine were years apart!

14, way too young, I had no sex ed and parents never spoke to me about any of it. I will make sure my kids are fully educated on sex and consent.

18 with my first boyfriend I had been with for a year at that point. That was 12 years ago and I'm still with him now

@mylittlesandwich for me, it was around the same age. Orgasm too. It had honestly not occurred to me to try / masturbate before then/before I had a boyfriend.

18 but I would happily have lost it years earlier if any of the boys at school liked me!
