Inspired by another thread. I think I was quite late losing mine, I was 25. What about you?

14, nearly 15. I don't regret it, we've been together for 16 years now. I wouldn't change a thing, he's my best friend and the love of my life.

Flowers for those who need them, some of these replies have brought a lump to my throat.

  1. He was 17, a family friend, and I ad no idea what I was doing but was very flattered. It took years for me to realise how young and vulnerable I was at that age.
Glenchase · 04/02/2021 14:01

Wow. Very sad to read how many women have been victims of statutory rape.

  1. No regrets. First serious boyfriend, we adored each other, and it was a positive experience.

I'm sorry to all those who have suffered abuse Thanks

thecatneuterer · 04/02/2021 14:10

I don't know - it depends how you define it. Either 16 or 17. I could make a case for either.

Tal45 · 04/02/2021 14:10

17, both same age, together a total of 18 months. I don't think anyone has loved me as much or treated me as well since. I wish I had appreciated it more.

HighPressureDays · 04/02/2021 14:12

15 (3 months away from 16).

I don’t regret it as it was a meaningful relationship that went on for a couple years - but I don’t think I was completely ready looking back.

It was more around 17/18 that I would say I was ‘mature’ enough.

  1. At the time i felt ancient, but now I'm older I think it was actually a really good age.
HettieMillia · 04/02/2021 14:15
  1. It was the right time for me. And comparatively old compared to friends who were 14 and 15. Different times I guess.
Chumleymouse · 04/02/2021 14:16
