No E or A names
Scottish nod (both Elliot & Arthur are also clan names)
Needs to be a saint name
Agnes for a middle name

Don’t like Skye, Rhona or Moira. Love Eleanor and Isobel but can’t use either, sigh

Yes, Christina is not trendy but classic, a real contender and a nod to my beloved grandmother Christine and sister Christiona

Edith

floristowen · 02/02/2021 20:04

Mary Flora is v pretty ... dislike Heather

Well, I think Susan is a good name. Grin

I thought of Charlotte firstly, but love Flora.

Think what the initials will spell, and any possible easy choice for bullies.

You both have to like it though.

floristowen · 02/02/2021 20:16

Don’t like Viola and think Violet too cutesy ...

Cora is pretty

Nora is a favourite as my mum Norma but hated by my husband

Matilda a huge contender

Yes agree that Flora shouldn’t be discounted- it’s a classic European name that is beautiful and unfussy. If only up to me, this would be the name hands down.

I like Sorcha and Innes ...

Jeannie is unique ... haven’t thought of that ... Janine?

Beatrice and Florence both on the list although both feel a bit yesterday ... ? Classic contenders though.

Exactly what I was about to post.

Initials for FA leave you open to a couple of words

floristowen · 02/02/2021 20:18

Susana in the list, will add Susan

MessAllOver · 02/02/2021 20:24

Victoria?

floristowen · 02/02/2021 20:25

Updated list:

Christina Agnes
Matilda Agnes
Mary Agnes
Margaret Agnes
Maisie Agnes
Margot Agnes
Flora Agnes
Beatrice Agnes
Penelope Agnes
Stella Agnes
Josephine Agnes
Susana Agnes
Susan Agnes
Sylvie Agnes
Frances Agnes
Marion Agnes
Kirsten Agnes
Glenora Agnes
Henrietta Agnes
Hannah Agnes
Sylvia Agnes

Would also consider Christine, Margaret or Nora for middle names; possibly Jean too or one of the other list first names

OP posts:
floristowen · 02/02/2021 20:26

Coworker name and not too keen on
Victoria as a name...

OP posts:
MessAllOver · 02/02/2021 20:30

As someone above said, the problem with Agnes as a middle name is that you need to be very careful with initials. No H names (HAM) or B names (BAM) and think about J names (JAM) and S names (SAM...probably OK?).

floristowen · 02/02/2021 20:34

Gotcha- would never had crossed my mind!!

floristowen · 02/02/2021 20:40

Margot Agnes is lovely

UltimateIrritant · 02/02/2021 21:03

Has anyone suggested Hilda?

ConkerBonkers · 02/02/2021 21:05

Patricia
Eloise
Grace
Araminta
Arabella
Rose

floristowen · 02/02/2021 21:11

Margot is def growing on me!

Someone did suggest Hilda. Love Matilda but not Hilda.

Rose is part of my name so perhaps that’s odd but actually I love the name on its own and think it’s so lovely. Clan name too!
