No E or A names
Scottish nod (both Elliot & Arthur are also clan names)
Needs to be a saint name
Agnes for a middle name

Maybe these?
Dorothea
Imogen
Felicity
Maisie
Elizabeth

Palavah · 01/02/2021 23:46

Marianne/Marian - if you're in Scotland I'd go for Marian as I'd expect it to be pronounced Mairiyan rather than Marryann.

Also like Margaret, Margot, Mairead and Mhairi.

AlwaysLatte · 01/02/2021 23:48

Oh sorry, I saw no E, and I'm pretty sure none of those are saints. So very unhelpful!

Nice to hear Christina love comments. I really am taken with it. Love Genevieve but is a cousin’s name. Inez I think is variant of Agnes- not keen. Despite being an A name and Husband not keen, like Agnes in its own right quite a bit.

Henrietta

GinaJaffacake · 02/02/2021 00:02

If you’re definitely going to use Agnes as a middle name then you shouldn’t use Nancy as a forename as Nancy was originally a derivative of Agnes. Many older Nancys will actually be Agnes.

TheNationsFavourite · 02/02/2021 00:03

Can't help thinking Mary Agnes sounds like a nun, and possibly a mean one.

floristowen · 02/02/2021 00:03

I like that

OP posts:
floristowen · 02/02/2021 00:04

Ah, didn’t know that about Nancy

OP posts:
floristowen · 02/02/2021 00:04

Lol, I think Mary Agnes sweet but perhaps a bit of a mouthful ...
