Which kitchen would you choose?

If you had to pick one of the 3.

Dh and I buying new build. We had picked a kitchen but we're back at square one after changing plot. I know none of these are colourful before anyone says we plan to add colour through accessories that can be changed rather than any permanent choices.

We both disagree on what we like. One of these is my favourite, one is his and one is the choices we'd made last time.

Opinions please I'm desperate Sad

And yes I know it's very standard new build kitchen and that isn't for everyone, understood.

Yes, A has the best floor and the best worktop out of those options. It’s just the tiles I really don’t like. So, A with the tiles from B/C.

RJnomore1 · 30/01/2021 23:15

A. Plain but as you say the accessories add the colour and personality and you can change the room much more cheaply !

Delatron · 30/01/2021 23:17

We have a white silstone worktop and I love the white. Used to have dark granite type and it was a nightmare to clean.

A, love how it's light and bright. The others seem gloomy in comparison.

A

I know what it’s like to be at that point where you have decision fatigue and having to make just one more feels like it will be completely overwhelming by the way. But you’re nearly there! You will have a lovely new house with a lovely new kitchen and any of your options will be fine, honestly.

Go with your gut, then try not to get too bogged down in second guessing yourself.

A but I would change the handles so the drawers have brushed chrome cup handles top middle and the cupboards have brushed chrome knobs like this just less shiny

B but with a different worktop. The colour of the (fake?) wooden worktop doesn't work with the wood of door. If the work top is laminate, plain is better than fake anything, marble or wood.

McCorona · 30/01/2021 23:30

Definitely A for me, apart from I don't understand what's going on with those tiles at the top of the mood board?
Much prefer a marble surface and the pale wood-effect floor.

jambeforeclottedcream · 30/01/2021 23:36

A with a different worktop.

HighPressureDays · 30/01/2021 23:43

I would choose A.

I chose a wooden look work surface for my kitchen a few years ago, it’s a bit darker than your pictures but it shows up every cup and water mark so I feel like I’m wiping it down constantly 😂

A, in that I actively like it.

I know this wasn’t the question, but different handles for me.

But l don’t especially like any of them

ButterMeUpScotty · 30/01/2021 23:56

A not the other two.

YellowEllis · 31/01/2021 00:10

This is an option D? I'm worried about matching a wooden floor to the oak doors, a worktop does seem less risky as it won't directly touch so if it doesn't matter it's not the end of the world. We can't change the doors.

Worktop wise we are very limited, we can't afford quartz so it's either marble, wood effect or slate effect. I like the herringbone tiles, DH loves the bloody decor ones. I've found these ones which are white and bother me less so this could maybe work? Or is it still too many mixed cool and warm tones?

For this picture this is what the tiles would look like, except ours would be whiter and less grey.

I love the floor in A and I also really like the marble worktop, although the other worktops are nice too. Floor in A is gorgeous too. However not sure about the backing tiles in any of them—confused by A? B and C are going to date very very fast (in fact I think they’re already a bit dated?) although they might look nice in A?

I wouldn’t be sure about combining the door colour with a wooden table top, they’re just very clash-y. Although I think it would be fine with floor A. Not a huge fan of the floor tiles but don’t dislike them either.
