What random things do you like to watch on YouTube?

With all the time spent indoors this year I've really got into a few things on YouTube that pass the time in quite a relaxing way...

It got me thinking about what else might be on there that I haven't even discovered yet.

What random stuff are you into watching on YouTube?

Mine are:

  • A Canadian guy who runs an antique store and who occasionally buys hoarder houses and clears them out while looking for antiques and vintage finds
  • A series about a British family doing up a French chateau (they do it very in keeping with its original style)
  • A woman who goes mudlarking on the banks of the Thames, you go along with her to see what she finds

@GWLTM

We watch the Mudlarker woman! My husband has invented a jingle for it. "Down on the Thames fore shoooore"

A favourite of ours is a great crafter with an incredible Louisiana accent - Crafsman - Steady Craftin

Indigo Traveller is good too. We found him looking for videos of North Korea and he did a couple of weeks tour there. Now watched all of his series. He's been to some amazing places that most people will never get to see.

Love crafting - will check out the Louisiana guy!

I have a feeling that mudlarking is going to be an obvious gateway into metal detecting...

nichola white mudlarking

Yes! That's who I'm watching too. Love all the stuff she finds.

Makes me want to go and put my wellies on and get out to our local river immediately!

  • Safiya Nygaard, American YouTuber. Posts like ‘I wore 9 foot long extendo jeans for a day’ and ‘I bought a box of amazon customer returns’
  • That Chapter which is famous murders or missing people. They are well thought out and the Irish man who presents them doesn’t hold back on his own thoughts
  • doctors react, a costume designer reacts to a film, that type of thing. I have no idea why I like watching them but I do!

Got a bit obsessed watching a lady in China living with her grandma who makes everything from scratch. From growing veggies in her garden to cutting bamboo to make a table. Just mesmerising.

Sign language "intepreters" frantically signing for rap artists

Margaritawithlime · 02/01/2021 22:25

Binging with babish is great! His bolognese recently was SUCH a level up from my usual it was amazing (might have been the basics with babish section)
I also LOVE LOVE Jennifer garner pretend cooking show 😁 shes my favourite

On the more relaxing side I’m currently hugely into semidecoco asmr - basically she does lovely massages and scalp checks and I just find her intensely soothing
ItsblitZzz and latte ASMR also if you like that sort of thing.
RIVER asmr is my GOAT. I can spend a lot of time on YouTube...

A Canadian guy who runs an antique store and who occasionally buys hoarder houses and clears them out while looking for antiques and vintage finds Is that Curiosity Inc.

If it is I like too.

For some reason I like watching a couple of different farmers from America.

Also a man from New York who restores painting and one who restores leather shoes and clothing.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 02/01/2021 22:31

Oo yeah I'd be interested in links to those please umpteennamechanges Grin

m.youtube.com/channel/UCaXbaeWUe9bnjOowu3xSDoQ - Aussie kids channel that has all the old episodes of Round The Twist!!

m.youtube.com/channel/UCRtCqo0217tFcnPd6Dl8NrA - Dark Territory, bunch of Manc lads ghost hunting. I love their accent - I've yet to play a drinking game to this but I'd definitely be pissed if I had a swig everytime they said 'bangin' Grin

m.youtube.com/channel/UCYVAZCC2ULdgkKGCRQVaDFQ M. A. D detailing - there's loads of similar ones but the basic gist is they deep clean cars. I have bought a drill brush as a result of watching this and really want one of those suction carpet cleaning things. So very satisfying seeing all the ick getting sucked out of car seats 🙈

SquirtleSquad · 02/01/2021 22:31

I watch a woman doing her make up whilst retelling true crime stories, murders..etc it's fascinating

Northernsoullover · 02/01/2021 22:32

Big Jet TV
Kara & Nate who are a sweet American couple who travel full time.

Japanese style wrapping gifts

I tried out my new skill at Christmas, after spending a fortune on wrapping paper and hours sitting on my arse wrapping presents.
DH came in and asked wtf did I let dd age 5 wrap all the presents.
When I gave the family their presents all of them laughed at my new found skill🤣🤣

I watch top glee songs, yess I’m a Gleek 😂 also love watching videos on abandoned & haunted places.

LegoAndLolDolls · 02/01/2021 22:35

I mostly watch chrochet demos while shouting slow down FGS!

For nice mind numbing fix I quite like watching shopping haul videos. It's the lazy cheap alternative to window shopping in a pandemic. I know, it's a bit sad

Tiny house tours

Halloween make up

Subscription boxes being opened.

My guilty pleasures. Smile
