Anyone fancy a new jigsaw thread?

Hello all.

I really enjoyed the last jigsaw thread which was going on during the summer and wondered if anyone fancied sharing any pictures of jigsaws that are currently being done?
I'm nearly finished with my Disney Christmas one. A nice easy one which has only taken me a couple of days.
The weather is grim today so I expect it will be finished very soon! I will post a full picture once it is complete.
Would love to see your jigsaws....

@ThreeKneeRepeater snap!

toomuchlikemyusername I can't see any pictures on your last post.

I'm pretty envious of all this lovely jigsawing, I'm decorating, just doing a bit every day so no puzzles for me.

I bought a 1000 piece Christmas bookshop puzzle but the only space currently big enough to make it on is the coffee table, and the cat seemed to think all those pieces of cardboard were there for her entertainment so I didn't get very far.

Not particularly festive but I was inspired by this thread to finally attempt this puzzle today. It’s been sat on the shelf for around 4 years and was a secret Santa gift.
It was actually horribly difficult and we (ds decided to assist once I’d started) only managed to complete it by checking the reverse side to try and match some sections; it’s double sided.
Ds wants to flip it over as he thinks it might not be quite right (so many pieces were same shape and almost identically coloured so he’s likely right) but I don’t have anything big enough to be able to do that on. Will try a slightly easier one next time…

@InMySpareTime

How are everyone's Christmas Jigsaws coming along? Here are my cafe jigsaws, I'm also doing a 3000-piecer but that's longer term.
Where do you get your lovely wooden jigsaws from?
InMySpareTime · 31/12/2021 11:45

They're Wentworth jigsaws, my Nan buys me them (because she knows what brings me joy Smile)

MadisonAvenue · 31/12/2021 15:40

Goodness, I’ve just seen how much a 1000 piece Wentworth puzzle costs 😳
I think I’ll stick with cardboard.

My dh bought me a jigsaw photo puzzle for Christmas but I hate to tell him that I don't like it. It has far far too much green grass everywhere that I just think it will be too difficult. I'm going to have to complete it as I feel bad otherwise. If I buy a new jigsaw before I complete this one it will look a bit crap. A bit annoying.

I have some Wentworths but didn't recognise those ones, they are especially nice.

They have a sale on at the moment and hold their value if you want to sell after completing them.

I have the cat one too!

QueryA · 03/01/2022 19:39

I did this horse one over Christmas. It was really really hard as the colours were so similar. And it didn’t fit on my jigsaw mat! Straight to the charity for this next week!

My 500 🥧 Christmas present. Lot of blue ish sky and water so the end was a slog but the first of 2022.

BasicMadeira · 04/01/2022 21:54

It won't add my photo and I said piece not pie. Am very cross now.

Is that another Wentworth? I really like it.
InMySpareTime · 08/01/2022 15:20

Yes, it's a Wentworth, it has loads of interlocking spirals!

PuzzleMania · 08/01/2022 22:56

I've just finished this one. It took a ridiculous amount of time, it was really difficult. The colours were all so similar and it had weird shaped pieces that wouldn't stay in place. Grrrr

3000-piece jigsaw finally complete. The tree was the trickiest bit, and the sheer size of the thing!

InMySpareTime I have a 3000 piece puzzle waiting to be done. Roughly how long did it take you? Just wondering, as it will put my dining table out of use for some time!
