Is there anyone that’s HASN'T got matching family pjs?

I think it’s cute just wondering if there’s anyone left out there that doesn’t lol.

Not me and not a chance hell we will ever do it

ImNotCutOutForThis · 07/12/2020 20:42

Have previously and dsd said it was the ' coolest thing ever' she was 6 at the time.
This Yr everytime we found some one size wa sout of stock. Or where my teen is in men's sizes it would have dad or something on. So gave up.

MonkeyPuddle · 07/12/2020 20:42

We don’t. DS cord have new pj’s to open on Christmas Eve, they’re Thomas the tank engine. Me and DP sleep in the nuddy anyway.

No. I would like some but I’m super tall and they don’t do any in my size Sad

We’re getting matching jumpers instead Grin

Sewsosew · 07/12/2020 20:45

Fuck no.

Christmastime4 · 07/12/2020 20:46

Anyone going for matching jumpers? 😁

God no, at 59, 54 and 25, with a 17 year old cat, it would not be a good look.

We never have, and never, ever, will.

Sparklingbrook · 07/12/2020 20:47

What would you do that for?

Nobody in this family wears pyjamas. Sounds like something you would do to take a picture for Instagram so everyone could think -'oh look at them they are just hilarious aren't they?'

numbbycocomelon · 07/12/2020 20:47

Nooo, I don't even wear matching top and bottom for myself :/

Pascha · 07/12/2020 20:48

None of us are very good at pyjamas. The ones the boys do have are usually mismatched or just the bottoms. Nobody would ever have everything on at the same time.

NaughtipussMaximus · 07/12/2020 20:48

Christ no.

DinoGloria · 07/12/2020 20:49

Nope.

Waste of time, money, plastic and landfill.

Plus 50% sleep in only pants.

helloxhristmas · 07/12/2020 20:50

No! Ideas the line at matching outfits and Christmas Eve boxes.

We've got elves and I wish I hadn't started that.

Each to their own though, can't get bothered about what other people want to do.

Theotherrudolph · 07/12/2020 20:51

Nope. Kids sometimes have “Christmas” pjs as part of their general wardrobe of winter pjs, but they never match and they generally wear them all winter, I don’t save them for Christmas. Adults don’t wear pjs in this household. We have Christmas jumpers, but again they don’t match - each child gets to choose their own. My tree isn’t coordinated with my wrapping paper either.

PerditaNitt · 07/12/2020 20:51

Got some from primark last year and the photos of all in matching pjs on Xmas day were lovely. Not bothering this year because even though we wore them for a few months, they are just not as nice as our normal pjs and I don’t want to waste the money. They are so expensive and generally naff unless you are flash enough for Boden!

feellikeanalien · 07/12/2020 20:51

So is this and Christmas bedding a thing now? I thought the twatty elf on a shelf was bad enough. Just another way to encourage people to spend more money on things they don't need.

I do like Christmas and if people want to do this then crack on but it just all seems a bit contrived to me.

Who decided that matching pyjamas and bedding were a thing?

Sparklingbrook · 07/12/2020 20:52

Make it stop

Is there anyone that’s HASN'T got matching family pjs?
BarefootbyMoonlight · 07/12/2020 20:52

Yes and no.

I bought a fab set of old fashioned men’s PJ’s from charity shop ages ago for myself. DS commandeered the bottom half but left the top Hmm

So occasionally we might be mooching about the house in half n half matching 😂

It’s probably fun for smaller kids and better for everyone to have their own full set

MargosKaftan · 07/12/2020 20:52

I would love Christmas matching pjs. We always have a pjs photo with the tree just before bed, and finally convinced scrooge dh this was a good idea this year - and everywhere is sold out of matching sets! (Added complex issue that dd won't wear leggings style pjs or ones with tight ankle bands, has to be traditional style loose wide leg only. Can not find them anywhere in both hers and ds's sizes.

Never mind.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 07/12/2020 20:54

We don't. We all have Xmas jumpers (that don't match) and we all wear lounging about clothes and PJs but no, they don't match.

Bringbackthestrips · 07/12/2020 20:54

No -who would see them to know they’re matching anyway?

No for matching jumpers too.

MarshaBradyo · 07/12/2020 20:54

How long does all this stuff get used?

The photo? Christmas season or beyond

I’ve never bought any of it

Lemondrops41 · 07/12/2020 20:55

We don't, I have given up trying to find a matching set that has all our sizes in stock. I think I should have started looking back in October!

We all have Christmas PJ's, they just don't match.

Sparklingbrook · 07/12/2020 20:55

@Bringbackthestrips

Family conga down the street? Grin Stand in a line in the front window? Trip to Tesco at 7am?
