Is there anyone that’s HASN'T got matching family pjs?

I think it’s cute just wondering if there’s anyone left out there that doesn’t lol.

DH would think I had totally lost the plot - he doesn’t wear pjs at the best of times. And I haven’t deliberately worn matching clothes since 1979, when my mum dresses me and my 3 siblings in matching homemade coats. I don’t understand the appeal, unless it’s for Instagrammable moments 🙄

Biancadelrioisback · 07/12/2020 20:01

No but I would like to!

BewareTheBeardedFatMan · 07/12/2020 20:01

No way in hell would my eldest agree to that - he has SEN and VERY fixed ideas about what he will and won't wear. Grin
So it's a no from the Bearded household.

Although i would love a matching furry onesie like he wears 😹

@Splann

How do you know that people have matching pyjamas? I have no idea what my friends clothe themselves and their family in for bed. Our pyjamas certainly don’t match. But I’m not a fan of Paw Patrol or men’s M&S pyjamas.
If your friend posts a pic of the whole family in matching Christmas pyjamas every year at around this time, that's how you know.
IHateCoronavirus · 07/12/2020 20:03

We don’t. Six people in our family, each with their own character, tastes etc. We celebrate the individual for who they are. Together we make a family but our ‘family unit’ comes with no expectation fit a certain image.

StandardLampski · 07/12/2020 20:04

I dont think any of us ever even have matching tops and bottoms Grin

kowari · 07/12/2020 20:04

My teenage DS finds it embarrassing enough if we happen to go out dressed similarly. We like the same colours and are both usually in jeans and hoodies. We would be in the same size too, he would be horrified at the idea!

SushiGo · 07/12/2020 20:05

No, because at least person would moan about it on the day and have a face like a slapped arse in the pictures...

They are cute though!

SimonJT · 07/12/2020 20:06

Us, my son is the only one here who wears pjs, so he matches himself!

Panicmode1 · 07/12/2020 20:06

No! And never will do.....

ImRealHonest · 07/12/2020 20:06

I haven’t. But I haven’t got anyone to match with.

CloudyVanilla · 07/12/2020 20:07

Love Christmas so much but no won't be doing this. Not least because they are too Christmas day related. I always buy the DC new pyjamas but they are wintery rather than Christmassy to prolong wearability. So for exampke last year DD got beautiful lavender, blue and grey hedgehod pyjamas and this year I found some lovely fleecy mauve deer pyjamas. Perfect but not limited to Christmas day, unlike all the Turkey and Sprout references that seem to be on the matching ones!

Nomorescreentime · 07/12/2020 20:08

None here. Nobody would have wasted money on them before social media came into existence, I bet.

kowari · 07/12/2020 20:10

Are there seriously teenage boys who want to be dressed the same as their mum?

roastedsaltedpeanut · 07/12/2020 20:12

I never knew that was a thing! My first reaction is that seems rather nouveau riche.
But it doesn’t matter what I think about what you wear, as long as you are comfortable and happy.

Svrider · 07/12/2020 20:13

My own PJ bottoms hardly ever match my top, so it's a no from me

Mydogisagentleman · 07/12/2020 20:14

Not a chance. Neither me nor DH wear anything so I suppose we match in that sense, but our 19 year old with multiple piercings and pink hair definitely wouldn’t

BelfastNonBlonde · 07/12/2020 20:15

Pass

oobedobe · 07/12/2020 20:15

No.
I usually get the kids some new ‘winter’ Pjs that they can wear for a good few months (snowmen or penguins or tartan etc) but not Christmas specific and I am not interested in matching with them.

Angel2702 · 07/12/2020 20:15

No we wouldn’t get sizes for all of us. We all have several pairs of Christmas pjs so we have them just not matching.

tinytemper66 · 07/12/2020 20:16

Me.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 07/12/2020 20:17

We haven't. I don't wear pyjamas.

jambeforeclottedcream · 07/12/2020 20:17

No never will

I cringe when I see photos on fb and they're all in the same outfit. Makes me question the people I know

Crapbuttrue · 07/12/2020 20:18

Never have.
Never will.
Don't even buy new pyjamas at Xmas.
