Help with stupidly hard quiz

Each year my work does a stupidly hard quiz. There are many stages and we get a month to try and do it.

Anyone help me with this stage? there are 21 pictures of celebrities and I've managed to work out who they all are but now I'm stuck on working out the password to the next stage. Each picture has a coloured Roman numeral in it so I assume I have to use those to work out the answer...

Technically we could have cut all the working out and got it from it being a 6 letter word meaning Yearning 🤦🏻‍♀️😂😂

I managed another meta by myself in the meantime so only 4 more to go...

I'm part way through this one, the writing in the box are the answers I've figured out and jotted down. 'll also post another which I don't have a clue on.

Diamond and graphite are allotropes

It looks the the answers tell you which letters to choose...
End of “the road” is “D” or (ED)
Last of “the Mohicans” is S (or ES)
Etc...

...and if the full answer to Lome is 'capital of Togo' that would make T.

That was what I was thinking but I’m not making any words with the letters I think I’ve got, either with tropes or C!
