Help with stupidly hard quiz

Each year my work does a stupidly hard quiz. There are many stages and we get a month to try and do it.

Anyone help me with this stage? there are 21 pictures of celebrities and I've managed to work out who they all are but now I'm stuck on working out the password to the next stage. Each picture has a coloured Roman numeral in it so I assume I have to use those to work out the answer...

So are they mixed up and we need to put them in date order of film/song/book do you think?

The Charlie one could be the order the kids "left", as Charlie was last.

If Giants, Dreamcatcher and Strawberry are all last...

Chronological order seems good - Dreamcatcher is the most recent of the books listed I think.

So the Stephen King ones would be: Carrie, Firestarter, Gunslinger, Christine, Insomnia, Dreamcatcher

3 + 8 x 4 x 6 -5 x 8 = 2072 ?

Just tried that but it's not the right answer Must have gone awry somewhere...
