I'm very happy the orange misogynist has lost, but haven't heard or read a single good policy or reason to be excited about Biden.

Anyone who knows more and is excited about a Biden win not just a Trump loss, please could you come on and explain why?

He's going to stop separating immigrant children from their parents at the US/ Mexican border, and he's intends to reunite the children who have already been separated from their parents (who have been 'lost' by the current government.)

To be fair , I don't see why Americans should give two hoots about Brexit or a trade deal that benifits the UK , why would they ?

He is very experienced, he is a centrist, he makes his decisions based on fact, he is willing to work with the Republicans, he cares about people and the environment.
He hopefully will not sign a trade agreement with the UK which threatens the Good Friday Agreement, not just because he is Irish but because it is the right thing to do.

He believes in science. He will listen to experts. He does not care about tv ratings.

Refugees will no longer be considered unworthy.
Abortion rights are less likely to be restricted.
Adoption by gay people won’t be restricted as Trump intended.
Children and parents who enter the US without documentation will no longer be detained without their parents.
Increased taxation for the very wealthy.
No fake tan shortage.

Is it not s fairly simple matter to DNA test immigrants at the border if there is concern about kidnapping etc?
I cant understand why that is not done, for clarity's sake.

He has met every UK Prime Minister over the last 40 years so knows the current one is not typical and is the worst ever.
He will remember the Good Friday Agreement and ensure a trade deal with the US will depend on the GFA not being trashed.

@Inchargeofcupsandice yes, I'm really hoping he will choose to, or be forced due to illness/ tiredness, step down next summer, leaving Kamala in charge - it's the only way I can see that the US will get a female president in my lifetime!

Trump is 100% not the lesser of the two evils. Biden might not be perfect but look at the difference in language, talking about bringing people together. Trump was all about dividing people.

I would be so happy if they did the mother of all U-turns and stayed in the Single Market and Customs Union... but it seems like the best we can hope for at the moment is some shitty deal that's not much better than No Deal
