Seems to have shut up shop as from this morning.

It was also Ghanagirl they trolled on here by creating a Ghanagirl123 account

Now THAT I can believe as even though I didn't go over to that site and never would, I saw on the name for the new board poll that Patrick (the OP that asked for a new black board) a ghanagirl comment which was disgusting and had me confused as didn't think it was her.
Fucking awful people who are doing that.

I am sure there were some good people who posted regularly there, moderate posters and I feel sorry for them especially if they were getting support and it's been cut off.

However.....
having been ridiculed, abused, lied about, slated, for months and months, often daily, I am not going to pretend that I'm not glad it's closed down. Best news for me. I now feel free of their disgusting trolling of me, copying and pasting my MN posts, following me round here daring each other to post stuff to annoy me on various threads I'm on. (all because I don't think M&H are spawn of the devil)

Their obsession with MN and its posters I think has contributed to this closure. You cannot have a site that exists just 'because it's not MN'.
They could not let it go, and their posting about MN was increasing.
That would put new members off I feel.

Personally, I think certain members brought this on themselves, a great shame for the decent posters over there, but an un-moderated site can turn pretty nasty and certain posters over there did behave like they were in charge of everything, from what I could see and would see off anyone with a different viewpoint, despite saying continually how nice they all were. Yes. If you didn't disagree.

Oh and there was a lot of racism too.

What she said. I hope its true that its gone, means I will be able to post on mn. No more screen shots of my post being put on there and being ripped apart.

So you're admitting things like that do get posted on. What about all those who are saying when they tried to report racism, they were ignored or banned? Why would anyone want to go over there?

At least I'm honest about it, and yes, I don't recall seeing anyone who supported that post but if anyone can c&p evidence to disprove it then I'll admit to being wrong.
I think you're muddling up the sites when it comes to being banned for reporting racism - again, evidence and I'll admit to being wrong. This is how we debate issues and air disagreements on there and those who are disrespectful or downright offensive are often ignored but put your opinion across in a agreeable fashion and you'll find others will probably agree to differ. This is my opinion of the other site but am happy to 'agree to differ' .

I hasten to add, it's just a group of bullies. Not everyone on that site. I'm sure there's some pretty decent people on there who just avoid the nasty stuff.

Well.... going by a few posts recently I read that actually made me recoil because they were so awful, I don't agree with that. Agreeing to differ is all well and good, but no posts are ever removed so they just stand there in their awfulness. Of course there aren't spats because you're with like minded people who actually see nothing wrong with the most vile of posts.

I’ve just trawled through the MN thread. Why set up another site only to spend your time picking through threads on here, criticising posters and MN as a whole? There’s a lot of vitriol aimed at Justine. If we’re all so awful you’d think they’d come up with something else to talk about.

The racism is definitely there including attacks on specific posters. When a poster says it’s making them feel uncomfortable they’re accused of attention seeking.

I don’t think there’s any point in giving them the oxygen of publicity, as that’s what they’re looking for.

I did want to keep it open, but I'm way bit too busy to be able to run this site and none of the mods on my other sites were interested.

I just get too many complaints and I'm never sure what is real and what is trolling. From the very start there's been huge issues with people trying to disrupt.

The number of people using it was going down so it was looking like it would die out but I was going to let it run for a few more months with one unobtrusive advert per page to hopefully stop me from spending so much of my own money running it. But the complaints and their tone over that is the final straw makes me think it's not something I really want the hassle of keeping running.

I know that's more anecdotal than evidence, but I know what I've seen (ghanagirl being trolled as mentioned upthread) and I know that racism definitely happened - that definitely was.
Anyway, I know from experience it doesn't matter how much "evidence" you provide, it's never enough and people will still flat out deny what's right in front of their faces.
