Watch us wreck the mike, watch us wreck the mike, watch us wreck the mike.
Psych.

Now gather nicely in groups of no more than six...
Unless you're outdoors in Wales...

Oh well, come on in whatever the laws where you are. Plenty of space in this bubble of sanity Wink

Gaslighting.

Yep.

On an national scale.

Just FYI: Ds1 (17) has just informed me that his college tutor told him that they will be having 2 weeks off at half term...Nice of the school to ket us parents know!

I am fucking furious at this Govt. MPs not wearing madks on public transport, travelling to holiday homes, ignoring sd...just us plebs that have to toe the line, eh?

HOW could he sit there with a straight face and spout that bilge!??

Ibake · 22/09/2020 21:19

Fucking Jess Phillips complaining on Twitter that her son's year group all sent home. Useless twat - do your fucking job. Unlike us poor powerless sods who have to take whatever is dished out to us, she is actually in a position to challenge and ask questions but instead takes to Twitter to have a moan?

HeIenaDove · 22/09/2020 21:21

I pointed out the problems of supermarket workers being compelled to wear face masks on Twitter and got jumped on. Its frightening how quickly people have reverted back to type with how they treat key workers.

HeIenaDove · 22/09/2020 21:26

They gaslit us after Cummings. Tonights utter horseshit was no surprise.

Oh ffs. Did he really say they’re still not doing cancer treatments? This isn’t March, more is known about the virus, someone needs to be tasked with sitting the fuck down and working this out. They had better not be stopping maternity care again. My blood had been boiling these past few weeks, reading about all the women denied early scans, forced to go home and endure horrible, lengthy miscarriage with pessaries instead of getting D&C, forced to deal with all this alone. And the increase in stillbirths. Cancer treatment and maternity care are not nice wee add ons in any civilised society, they are about saving lives. How can better measures not be put in place with PPE, Covid-secure areas?

But the Covid cunts don’t give a fuck about saving lives unless it involves staying at home and grassing up your neighbours.

amicissimma · 22/09/2020 23:05

"Fuck off Boris. Do the decent thing. Resign."

But what's scarier? The devil you're beginning to get the hang of or months and months of leadership election followed by Someone Else? We can't have a General Election 'cos Covid. And is there anyone who would definitely be better?

Funkypolar · 22/09/2020 23:07

I bet most Mumsnetters would actually crawl if they were told to.

I am literally at the end of my rope! Couldn't watch the damn briefing as can't afford another telly! As I would throw something at it!! Do these people actually love in the real world??!! I couldn't give a fuck what time you shut pubs, restaurants on the other hand losing them loads of business as they have to time everything! I now have to get more exemption lanyards to allow my ds to go to bloody work! And it just adds more places (pubs and restaurants) that I just won't visit as can't deal with the shit from being exempt! If they reduce the 'rule of 6' I am fucked! I have a pregnant dd with a young baby who is ready to chuck it all In, plus parents who now say whats the point in life anymore, plus another dd having panic attacks through the night and I can't help as my mh is shot! Can't get any access to any NHS services trying to go private but the waiting list is massively long, can't even get a dentist appointment for fillings falling out or a Dr's appointment for dm going deaf! But it's OK as we are alive and don't have covid??!!

justasking111 · 22/09/2020 23:26

Britain really is messing this up. Spanish think we are barking their figures are worse and they have been wearing masks for weeks and following all the rules instituted tonight in the UK.

zigaziga · 22/09/2020 23:43

They all support it don’t they? Perhaps a different leader would be less inconsistent and do away with the ridiculous “it’s all your fault that a virus spreads like all viruses do .. now look what you’ve made me do!!” but is there a senior politician from any side out there standing up saying we’ve gone too far? All we’re doing is delaying the inevitable and this delay is just as deadly in other ways? Anyone?

Jourdain11 · 22/09/2020 23:57

There are actually quite a few Tories saying it's too much and life needs to resume. Steve Baker, Sir Desmond Swayne, Charles Walker - and quite a few of the ex-minister brigade (Dominic Grieve, Ken Clarke, off the top of my head). The problem is, they're either ex-MPs or confirmed backbenchers. Mind you, BJ relies a lot on he support of the likes of Baker et al.

But yeah, might not be a bad idea to listen to an ex-chancellor who actually understands macro-economics and all that.

I think Gove is a creep, but I'm not convinced he's totally on board with lockdown. Likewise Rishi Sunak (who is less of a creep).

Jourdain11 · 23/09/2020 00:00

Channel 4 News (which I am preferring over BBC) were reporting that Gove, Sunak and Priti Patel were vetoing lockdown.

THIS THIS THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

HeIenaDove · 23/09/2020 01:37

Im fucking furious. And i fear for supermarket workers The way i got jumped on tonight was very telling.

HeIenaDove · 23/09/2020 01:45

I obeyed the lockdown I wear a mask. I had my mum crying on the phone to me most days during lockdown. Shes 84. I still kept to it. But the way ive been spoken to on here and other social media (not these threads here) when ive pointed out that some just cant wear masks showed me that whatever a member of the public does...........it will never be enough. And Buffoon Boris rubber stamped that with his ramble tonight. It makes the decision about Christmas a lot easier!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A friend posted this last night.
I just commented "and rock beats scissors, paper beats rock and scissors beat paper.
Also, stop posting how "uncomfortable" a ventilator is. (Her feed is full of that shit), the fact you don't understand you're in a coma when you're on one shows how little you actually understand the situation"

LivinLaVidaLoki · 23/09/2020 06:29

@agentcooper he said "If we let this virus get out of control now, it would mean that our NHS had no space – once again – to deal with cancer patients and millions of other non-covid medical needs."

So he's not said he's still not doing it, just he will take it away if we don't do as we're told.

Your post was bob on by the way

@LivinLaVidaLoki My friend posted that too. Unfortunately she is an actually lovely person so I can't bring myself to comment. (She's possibly not the most intelligent person I've ever met though.)

You could also point out that Drs have realised that ventilators are not the best treatment now and are not using them unless absolutely necessary becsuse other treatments work better.

Just starting another day in paradise here, wish me luck!😄
