Guess how much DH weighs

So I am going to add DH (with his permission!) to the Zoe app which is helping researchers track what’s going on with Covid in real time (you report whether you feel well/unwell every day).

However, to add him I need to state his weight and he hasn’t weighed himself in about 20 years. We don’t own scales. His trousers waist measurement is usually 32”/34”, and he’s about 5’9”/5’10” tall.

Anyone any idea? I literally don’t even have a ballpark idea of what an adult male of his build /height weighs!

Guess how much DH weighs

Oh, now I have to know, too.

DH is 1,80 m (5"9) and weighs 71 kg. I made him pose like your DH and now guess your DH is in the 74-75 kg category.

fifteenisthemagicnumber · 12/09/2020 08:58

He looks very similar in build to my DH so I'm guessing 80kg. Waiting with baited breath for the reveal!

Imaystillbedrunk · 12/09/2020 08:59

I'm using for q last minute guess if 12 stone 2. Smile so glad I clicked on this post

MitziK · 12/09/2020 08:59

About 12-13st, depending upon whether he's got some muscle underneath the Joules shirt.

And tell him his posing for Mumsnet needs a bit of practice.

DishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 12/09/2020 09:00

I love how at pains posters are to slide in about his belly (which he doesnt have Grin)

Id say about 12st, but Im rubbish at weights of men

ellieboulou33 · 12/09/2020 09:02

Please just weigh the man now! The suspense is too much!

sofato5miles · 12/09/2020 09:02

A smidge over 12 stone

Strawberrycreamsundae · 12/09/2020 09:03

I think he’s heavier than he looks so 13st 3lbs.

FOKKYFC · 12/09/2020 09:04

If you're 5 ft 8, 11 stone, and a size 12-14 you're not 'obviously overweight' . . . Hmm

mildlymiffed · 12/09/2020 09:04

I'm going in with 12 stone 5 🙂
Good luck all, and may the odds be ever in your favour!

Purplewithred · 12/09/2020 09:05

77.5kg. What's the prize?

FOKKYFC · 12/09/2020 09:06

12 at 5 lbs

TuMeke · 12/09/2020 09:06

I’m going 76.5kg, based on absolutely nothing (I’ve no idea what I weigh even)

MitziK · 12/09/2020 09:06

Ah, trombone.

13st 6lbs.

It's the muscle from carrying them around, then holding by your knees for 38 minutes before having to lift those buggers up five times in the final movement.

Wigeon · 12/09/2020 09:06

@Savoury

Is there a woman in the country who hasn't weighed themselves in 20 years?!

I'm guessing 68.5kg

Me! I am definitely a healthy weight so decided to stop weighing myself about 20 years ago, so as to not start obsessing over it. Avoided looking when I’ve had to get weighed at medical appointments. Not planning a Part 2 to this thread by posting a photo of me though!
OP posts:
bitheby · 12/09/2020 09:06

I reckon 12 stone.

WilmaJean · 12/09/2020 09:07

Similar measurements to my husband so about 83kg

Wigeon · 12/09/2020 09:08

@ellieboulou33

Please just weigh the man now! The suspense is too much!
He says, pained “but I’m in my pyjamas!”

Also: local friend has replied! She has scales! She is happy for us all to go round! Scales are not digital, but we will look very very carefully and make DH take his shoes off. Local friend (LF?) is still in HER pyjamas too though, so everyone is going to have to live with the suspense a bit longer.

My husband is that height and that build and he's 12st 4lbs

Wigeon · 12/09/2020 09:11

@Purplewithred

77.5kg. What's the prize?
If you RTFT, pretty much everyone thinks the prize is/should be DH. He is pretty good at cleaning the bathroom, cooking, hoovering, does all the ironing Shock and can play about six musical instruments. Also sings. However, he is also a bit reluctant to be given away. And I really hate ironing, so that would be a bit of a loss. Hm.

topcat2014 · 12/09/2020 09:13

For that height, official overweight starts at 12.5 stone, which I struggle to keep under.

I haven't weighed 11 stone since school.

Looking forward to the reveal

Extracurricularfatigue · 12/09/2020 09:19

I am also struck by size 8 at 11 stone and 5’5”. But I guess bone structures and body shapes are just so different. I’m that height and definitely would NOT be size 8 at that weight.

MitziK · 12/09/2020 09:22

He hasn't conducted a choir until recently, has he?

If he has, he was rather good at it. And his soprano voice was better than half the seconds'.

Ernieshere · 12/09/2020 09:23

I thought 16 stone, I am 11 stone I think,Confused Im obviously crap at this.

SummerHouse · 12/09/2020 09:25

12 stone 2.

Will the man have had breakfast or a drink before the weigh in? "A pint of cold water weighs a pound and a quarter" as my mum likes to say....
