Guess how much DH weighs

So I am going to add DH (with his permission!) to the Zoe app which is helping researchers track what’s going on with Covid in real time (you report whether you feel well/unwell every day).

However, to add him I need to state his weight and he hasn’t weighed himself in about 20 years. We don’t own scales. His trousers waist measurement is usually 32”/34”, and he’s about 5’9”/5’10” tall.

Anyone any idea? I literally don’t even have a ballpark idea of what an adult male of his build /height weighs!

Oh exciting we are going for precise guesses and prizes Grin

Ok then, 12 stone 9lb

PickAChew · 11/09/2020 22:57

About 12-13 stone. Dh is same trouser size and an inch taller but slimmer looking and just under 12.

Cuddling57 · 11/09/2020 23:06

I'm here for the cake. 12st 13lb.

AllBellyandBoobs · 11/09/2020 23:11

I would guess 80kg

Fifthtimelucky · 11/09/2020 23:13

I'd say he is 11.5 - 12 stone.

My father was 5'10 and weighed 12.5 stone all his adult life. He was broader and stockier than your husband.

WeAllHaveWings · 11/09/2020 23:20

13st 3lbs

unicornparty · 11/09/2020 23:27

My dp is 5 ft 9 and wears 32 inch trousers and weighs 10 stone 10 although doesn't have a belly like your dp. I'd say 11.5 stone.

Jbck · 11/09/2020 23:27

DH has an uncanny knack of estimating weights by the feel of an item, to within a really narrow margin, but is willing to guess by sight. He’s also almost same height and at 34 waist was just under 13 stone.

12’ 11” is our scientific guess.

Serendipity09 · 11/09/2020 23:33

Similar height and waist to my DS, who is 11 st 11

Hermano · 11/09/2020 23:34

I was going to say 11.5 stone but as I'm competing for a prize I will say 11 stone 13

If I win I'd like a photo of Ron Swanson with one of his magic smiles. If you don't immediately know who this is then I expect you to do research

Thanks

IndiaMay · 11/09/2020 23:39

Bloody hell! 11 stone is way to light an estimate. I'm just short of 11 stone and I'm 5ft5 and a size 8 woman.

shazshaz · 11/09/2020 23:50

My OH has 32 inch waist & is the same height and weighs 11 stone 3lbs. Your husband looks like he has more padding so I'd guess he's around a stone heavier at 12 ½ stones. Some Boots pharmacies have scales you can pay to use, its probably more accurate than getting a random bunch to guess weight based on a photo.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 11/09/2020 23:54

wait wait wait. He has not gone to bed, has he? Whilst we are all waiting her with bated breath to see if we have won?

If need be, I guess I'm willing to contribute to the cost of a weigh in at Boots or the like. ONLY if I get a bit of the winner's cake :)

SuckingDownDarjeeling · 12/09/2020 00:09

He looks like a healthy weight, perhaps 22-24 on a BMI scale. So I'd guess 170lbs which is roughly 12 stone.

longcoffeebreak · 12/09/2020 00:24

13 st

HistoriaTrixie · 12/09/2020 00:27

165-170 pounds.

Lucked · 12/09/2020 00:31

I think 11 stone. My DH is 5’11 32 inch waist trouser (don’t know the actual measurement) and 10st 4 but looks a little bit slimmer than your DH.

Gladysthesphinx · 12/09/2020 01:07

Who has won dh? I want to know!
12 stone 3.

Susannahmoody · 12/09/2020 02:12

There is no way in this earth he is 11 stone.

He's more like 12.5 stone.

nachthexe · 12/09/2020 02:23

12.4
He’s a veritable gnat in comparison to dh who is built like Hagrid.

JofraArchersFastestBall · 12/09/2020 02:48

Ohhh, a competition! 12 stone 1 lb please 😊

ManxomeFoe · 12/09/2020 07:17

@JofraArchersFastestBall that was my guess too! But since you appear to be a fellow England cricket fan, I am willing to split my prize with you Smile

Wigeon · 12/09/2020 08:15

Considering making some kind of chart to indicate distribution of the different weigh guesses, which I think range from underweight to overweight.

Is it too early to text my neighbour /local friend to ask about use of her scales. She has young children so will definitely be awake.

@thisisnotus

You know it won't matter on that app if it's not exact? The point being that he's obviously not overweight or obese. So I'd have a guess at 11 and 1/2 stone. Check if that is somewhere in the healthy weight range for his height, et voila, put it in.
Er, yes, that’s why I came up with the genius idea of asking you lot to estimate his weight rather than, y’know, weighing him 😆
