Would you agree a ham and cheese sandwich is a healthy lunch?

@KatherineJaneway

a diktat

That's a new one on me Grin

I let him have a kitkat as well - the diktat was not to stop for a beer but to be home at a reasonable time.

Ham & cheese sandwich
OK, but boring on its own - I'd add some tomato & lettuce inside and an apple for pud

I had a banana sarnie today - a tortilla with chocolate protein spread, with a banana, kiwi and pomegranate seeds
It was lush Smile

@Scarby9

Your milkman is delivering bananas, *@jessstan2* ? Does he leave them on the doorstep? And when does a milkman stop being a milkman and become just a deliveryman? I am jealous!
He brings me bread, tomatoes, cheese, juice, bacon - all sorts. Thumbs up for milk&more! He is a milkman/milkperson though, he mainly delivers milk.

Have we had a position statement from the OP yet? I’m intrigued to know if this is from a zealous nursery teacher sending notes, or arguing with friend who eats ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch every day forever.

I would’ve said it’s not very healthy, but now, with the hindsight of a child who only eats 12 foods (15 in an great week), I no longer care.

Worrying about salt content of one sandwich is the purview of those with a generally easy life. Which was me for most of my 20s.

I used to LOVE M&S cheese, ham, pickle and mayo sandwiches.

Processed meat is directly linked to cancer so no it's not healthy

Brown bread with some cheese is what I would deem as healthy
