1.Chinese BBQ Pork Banh Mi,
2.Salmon Gravlax, Apple, and Crispy Kale Smorrebrod,
3.Softshell Crab Sandwich with Collard Slaw

1. Fried Oyster Po'Boys with Kale and Tartar Sauce.

Obviously all in moderation and as a part of balanced diet! All beats so yesteryear organic avocado on rustic rye!

OP, upgrade your sandwich.
One slice of bread, topped with a slice of ham, then grated cheese and then a fried egg. Now THATS a cheese and ham sandwich that's probably about a thousand calories but oh so tasty.

Does piccalilli count as one of your five a day ? ( well it has cauliflower in it doesn't it not ? ) -goes very nicely with some cold ham.

If piccalilli counts, then gherkins and pickled onions must count too!

MN is a very odd place.

Except if it’s in the form of cubes, in which case you must feed your child this instead of fruit. Because fruit is just sugar and you’re killing your child....

I used the figures for Sainsbury’s ham + cheese on malted bread.

I ried malted bread for the first time this week, just for a change.

Take out the ham and replace it with marmite. Then take out the cheese and replace it with marmite. Then take out the bread and replace it with a spoon.

When I were a lass I used to treat myself to a ham and cheese sandwich from Mark's & Spencer's. Blummin' lovely it was.

The one I got also had pickle in it and mayo. Pure decadence. I would look forward to it all week.

Before anyone panics it wasn't white bread, think it was malted brown.

I sent my dh off for the day with one beef and mustard brown roll, one ham and sliced cheese and chutney brown roll, two apples, a diktat and a flask of tea. He'd had porridge with cinnamon and blueberries for breakfast, and it's Delia's chilli with black beans and a home made salsa for dinner. He is out doing stuff on Dartmoor all day, so will be burning calories.

I am a crazy pregnant lady and the only things I am eating are sandwiches or paninis. If anyone tried to prise one from my paws, they would get a smack.
