ADs deflower male cucumbers for the Greater Good. All phallic aubergines welcome .

Because bitter male cucumbers don't bring joy, but phallic aubergines can raise an irreverent smile.

AD chat continues about life, the universe and everything. We know the answer is 42 but what is the question?
6x7?
How many roads must a man walk down?
How many unsadly reincarnations have PHE put into the database?

Oh also, there's a little place called Cathole. I don't know if it's a house or a hamlet, there's just a little turning towards it. But I'm childish and I point it out each time we pass. But then, in the interests of full disclosure, there's also a bill we pass on the way down the M5 that I call Tit Hill, because it reminds me of my breast cancer-deformed left boob.

Yes I really am THAT childish 😜

Welcometothelifeboatparty · 17/08/2020 23:20

A hill FFS. Not a 'bill'

NannyPhlegm · 18/08/2020 00:11

As a student, I lived in shared accommodation on Fanny Street in Cardiff. Ah, good times 😂

PourMeADrink · 18/08/2020 07:46

Loving the vegetable photos Grin.

Am staying with DS for his birthday and met my brother for a pub meal last night. It was the first time DS and DB had been out for a meal since lockdown. It was actually really nice and we all enjoyed it and there were proper salt and pepper pots on the table and nobody wearing visors.

Childish laughter here every time we see the signs for Upper Dicker and Lower Dicker (Sussex)

WouldBeGood · 18/08/2020 10:31

I love a smutty place name.

Though my poor parenting was demonstrated once again when my dcs started sniggering at the Charles Dickens terminal at the Eurotunnel 😳

Welcometothelifeboatparty · 18/08/2020 10:34

There is a place near my mother's called Lickey End.

I defy anyone to travel past the sign post for that and NOT smirk.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 18/08/2020 10:34

On the ride place names, there is a village in Donegal called Muff and would you believe it has a diving club 😃

NowYouListenToMeFella · 18/08/2020 10:35

*rude

loulouljh · 18/08/2020 10:38

I have been referred to a dermatologist by my GP..(finally..it was a saga). I have called them. 25 weeks wait for an appointment as clinics are not operating properly. We live in an area with NO cases. No wonder we are going to have a tsunami of health issues shortly....how can this be allowed???

Welcometothelifeboatparty · 18/08/2020 11:08

NowYouListenToMeFella That is totally the best news I've had this morning Grin

Welcometothelifeboatparty · 18/08/2020 11:10

Insane, loulou.

Here, I live in a city that is seeing rising numbers of cases. DH, DD and I have put plans in place to subvert plans to slam us back in jail. No doubt I'll be labelled a 'covidiot' in some quarters but I'm not doing that again

RealityExistsInTheHumanMind · 18/08/2020 11:44

@loulouljh
That's crackers and so frustrating for you.

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 18/08/2020 14:38

I've worked out why I've been feeling on edge for about a week - I'm still waiting to hear from dd's school about Covid procedures and policies for Sept. They were pretty sensible and non-dementory in the last few weeks of summer term when DD was in (year 1 place) but I've just got this constant low level anxiety about what school will be like for them when they go back.

Welcometothelifeboatparty · 18/08/2020 14:54

I know what you mean, SirSamuel I think this is what's got me on edge too. DD is about to go into year 13 and we're in an area where there are rising numbers of cases. I think she will implode if her return to school doesn't happen, she's stressy about it already

That's crazy are are they doing in the hosp if they arent seeing patients?

One of the staff put a magnet on one of our cafe fridges..."My Bucket list is short but my Fuckit list is a mile long."
I need one of those😂

Worldgonecrazy · 18/08/2020 15:37

Sea swimmers - quick question for you. Why do sea swimmers always seem to do front crawl? I find it hard enough in a pool but impossible in the sea. Is there a reason or am I going to be okay with my pathetic breast stroke?

I have asked Father Christmas for a dry robe 😎

Ibake · 18/08/2020 15:46

Friend proudly sent me this. I knew where there would be an appreciative audience

Ibake · 18/08/2020 15:47

Oops

Welcometothelifeboatparty · 18/08/2020 15:59

Blimey! Gnarly Grin

WouldBeGood · 18/08/2020 16:04

Blimey! That’s full on veg porn 😂

110APiccadilly · 18/08/2020 16:25

@Worldgonecrazy I swim in the sea with a slow breaststroke. There's no reason to do front crawl unless you want to.

InsaneInTheViralMembrane · 18/08/2020 18:31

Charlie McLeod is half the price of a dryrobe and is the same thing. I’ve been having battles with dryrobe for a month with the one I bought for Xmas and used a handful of times before lockdown. They’re finally sending me a brand new replacement.

ISaySteadyOn · 18/08/2020 18:53

Are any of you really efficient cooks? It's just taken me about an hour to cook spaghetti with tom sauce* and make a salad to go with. It shouldn't take that long so it must habe to do with my rubbish hands and executive function. Any tips to cook faster?

*No bum tomatoes were harmed Wink
