Any new Eufy Robovac parents out there?

A couple of weeks ago there was a flurry of recommendations for the Eufy RoboVac on a couple of threads.
Several posters declared they would be buying one. I was one of them.
I wondered how other new owners were getting on. We are delighted with ours.
To start with it did not seem like a time saver, but this was because we were so fascinated with its purposeful scurrying that we just sat and watched it.
Now it gets going via the app every morning at 6.30 and does three rooms plus many yards of hall carpet.
It is truly amazing how much it picks up. After four days on the same route it still fills up each time. It seems to be mainly picking up dust, but where does it keep coming from?
Just two complaints: the small pieces of adhesive paper supplied is not very sticky. You use those if you want to create a barrier. When you interrupt its routine to tell it to go back to its base it won’t go straight there but rather indignantly insists on going via the pretty route.

Otherwise great!
Anyone else?

@VodselForDinner

I have a Eufy but am not a parent so off I pop.
I think OP meant new parents of a Eufy Grin
Stitchhelp · 15/08/2020 11:58

I don’t have an Alexa but I do have a smart phone
Presumably I can control from my smart phone? Remotely?

TimeTruthandHearts · 15/08/2020 11:59

Well done @Stitchhelp that is a bargain

I think eufy are made by anker who are an Amazon brand...

I think, not sure. Not interested enough to check Grin

All the new people who are buying- please report back!

Op what made you go for the 30 rather than 15max out of curiosity?

TrickyD · 15/08/2020 12:46

At the time, the 30c was a better deal. If i were buying today I would consider 15max, on for £199.9 on Eufy’s site.

How minimalistic are your houses or do you pick up everything before you set yours to vacuum?

FortunesFavour · 15/08/2020 12:51

I bought one based on that very thread!

Sorry haven’t read through thread but I absolutely love it. Not only does it do decent job but it’s really cute (I’m clearly a bit weird). It’s a plucky little thing that never gives up trying to get over little obstacles. At the moment I’m spending too much time following it around which kind of defeats the object, but that will wear off. Love it! Cat not so keen though Grin

FortunesFavour · 15/08/2020 12:56

Just read a few more posts. Pleased to see it’s not just me watching it in fascination GrinGrin. Also love the “home button” when it obediently just trundles back to its base for a nap, gently bumping into stuff as it finds its way.

I am anthropomorphising my eufy way too much, plucky little robovac!

Trashtara · 15/08/2020 13:01

Ours sets off at 8am Monday- Friday when I'm on the school run and at work. We pick up all toys, clothes and cables the night before. About once a week I put the dining chairs and footstool off the floor.

AllTheGuac · 15/08/2020 13:02

Placemarking to read more cuteness! You’re all also tempting me to buy one. I hate vacuuming.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 15/08/2020 13:04

@Stitchhelp

Mine says sold by ankerdirect Despatched by amazon ??
Same here. I’m not a fan of amazon so feel a bit cheated. Since ordering and giving my phone number, I’ve had a barrage of amazon scam calls.
brakethree · 15/08/2020 13:11

After all the recommendations I just went to order one however the deal of £199 for the 15C (actually any of the deals) aren't valid today, when you go to checkout it says the code has expired. The deals are still showing on their website but it looks like they were just for yesterday.
The cheapest is currently Amazon at £216.01..

FortunesFavour · 15/08/2020 13:12

Oh no wait til its a bit cheaper brake. Mine cost £170

brakethree · 15/08/2020 13:13

Yes I'm going to wait, would have ordered though and feel a bit deflated as was excited! I'm sure they will be on offer again soon.

FortunesFavour · 15/08/2020 13:17

Good plan, there’ll be another offer along in a minute. You won’t regret it!

RedDiamond · 15/08/2020 13:32

Effy RoboVac Boost IQ 30C arriving from Amazon tomorrow £189.99 can't wait Grin

I read this thread last week and was sooooooo tempted. Today I decided what the heck and have gone for it.

TrickyD · 15/08/2020 13:44

brakethree, I just did a dummy order using the link above and the £60 discount on the 30C still worked.

According to Wikepedia , Anker is not owned by Amazon, but uses it, along with other outlets, to sell or deliver their products.

I've got a eufy sitting in my amazon basket... Smile

I have just ordered one with that link and the £60.00 off worked.

I either have fallen for a convincing marketing campaign or this is the most wonderful thing and it is going to change my life!!

brakethree · 15/08/2020 14:10

I've just noticed that the 15c max deal was only on yesterday but the others are on until 16th. Just need to decide if I'm going to go for the 30c or wait....

DobbyTheHouseElk · 15/08/2020 14:12

My Eufy is arriving tomorrow! GrinGrin

TrickyD · 15/08/2020 14:13

Well it will certainly cheer your life up.

Interesting that there have been no posts regretting their purchase, just a few minor grumbles.

eatsshoots are you sure the Amazon price is less than Eufy direct? Not too late to empty your basket.
