This is bizarre - basically just pics of the cars and none of the house

OP posts:
Mamabeemer · 11/08/2020 15:27

Even more bizarrely, this appears to be the only property that estate agency is advertising Confused

The plot thickens

Pobblebonk · 11/08/2020 15:28

Lots of very expensive houses near me only post a picture of the view and interior pictures only available in branch.

Bad policy. If I see a house online with no pictures of the interior, I assume it must be a wreck.

‘Ideally for a smart family’ did make me laugh

Apolloanddaphne · 11/08/2020 15:29

The write up seems to have been written by someone who does not have English as their first language. All very odd indeed.

FlamingoAndJohn · 11/08/2020 15:30

I wonder if the firm who refurbished it have registered as an estate agents just to get this place on Rightmove.

Are there very many Russian oligarchs in Didsbury?

Villanemme · 11/08/2020 15:34

It looks like a homework project, written by the agent's dc and accidently uploaded.

FlamingoAndJohn · 11/08/2020 15:35

The address for the ‘estate agents’ seems to be the same address as Haji Tours. They also seem to have the same logo.

BertieBassettsBits · 11/08/2020 15:36

How are they going to judge if the family is smart enough? Line them up in front of the neighbours with score cards?

WatchingFromTheWings · 11/08/2020 15:37

4 toilets/bathrooms for a 2 bed with one downstairs room converted to another bedroom is a bit much!

EThreepwood · 11/08/2020 15:38

Our house only had a picture of the street.
It's because it was involved in DA and there were loads of punch holes in walls, windows and doors. Previous owners obviously wanted to hide it.

FlamingoAndJohn · 11/08/2020 15:39

This is the info from the company that developed the rest of the park.

Why is every word capitalised in the description? Eeek

toomanyplants · 11/08/2020 15:40

So bizarre!!!

They call the toilets ‘powder rooms’ Grin

CassandraCross · 11/08/2020 15:42

They haven't even blurred the car number plates, they can't be proper, professional estate agents surely and for the price of the property you would expect more than pictures of the road sign, fgs!

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 11/08/2020 15:44

£800k for a 3 bed in Manchester?! I thought it was supposed to be cheap up there!

Hoppinggreen · 11/08/2020 15:45

Its weird
PJ Livsey are legit though, I have dealt with them before. As lettings agents though

Hoppinggreen · 11/08/2020 15:46

whatatime ITS CHESHIRE dont you know!!!
Manchester? how very dare you?

Hardbackwriter · 11/08/2020 15:49

SO weird. It's almost like when a job is advertised but they want it to go to an internal candidate so they make it really specific and tuck it away in a corner of their website - perhaps there's some reason why it has to be put on the market but they don't actually want to sell it?!

Coffeeandbeans · 11/08/2020 15:51

What is a smart family? We have smart phones is that it?

Oakmaiden · 11/08/2020 15:53

I assumed it was someone selling their own house, without an estate agent, but pretending to be an estate agent so they can use rightmove etc

VettiyaIruken · 11/08/2020 15:53

No pics = shithole

ConquestEmpireHungerPlague · 11/08/2020 15:53

There are interior pics if you click on the link for the brochure. It's nice but not quite as utterly fabulous as expected. It's an eyewatering price, to be sure.

I often wonder what estate agents make of the massive number of hits they suddenly get when someone posts a Rightmove link on MN, as we all click one after another in a small window of time. And then..nothing. And nobody asks to do a viewing because mostly we're all gawping at the price/marvelling at the hideousness/advising the OP how to get the same effect in her one-bed flat for under £50, etc.
