sadly I have struggled with my mental health whilst shielding for the first 10 weeks of lock down. I put weight on - a lot.
AND - this is why I was so furious with the Gov Advice at the beginning of all this; 'stay indoors' - away from all that lovely fresh air and free Vit D. 'Exercise, about 1 hour per day is about right'
- ie stay in, eat a lot through boredom and don't go out.
It was the WORST advice for our Mental health, our Physical health and our Immune systems!
And now - we (as a nation) are overweight, sluggish, with immune systems that have just sat back with nothing to do, no germs to fight, and got sluggish too, and we are MORE at risk by being so.
Our Immune systems are the only thing that will save us. Not masks, not gloves
, not 2mtr distance. IF and WHEN you catch this, your immune system is the only thing that will save you. I'm surprised (actually not) that this gov have not issued more guidelines on HOW TO BE MORE HEALTHY rather than avoiding the Virus.
Be a healthy weight, eat healthily, take Vit D with Vit K, DON'T SMOKE, exercise regularly until you are breathless.
Oh and spitting should be a crime.
