What size is your bed?

We are staying in a lovely house for a few days. But the bed is a queen size double. Bloomin’ tiny! We are used to a super king. I just can’t sleep with DH on top of me
It had me wondering if many people use a queen size bed? I know they used to be the norm, and space will be an issue for some. But what size is your bed?

King size just for me! I'm single though, if I were in a relationship I'd like a super king.

King, super wouldn't fit. Mostly just me in the bed (unless the DP is staying over).

We went on holiday and stayed in a double. It was horrific. I'm 6ft and it had an end panel on it, had to sleep curled up.

King size for just me. Love it.

I have a king sized bed all to myself. Bliss.

We have a standard double. Neither of us are tall, i am a bit of a fatty but it has never felt too small. Our bedroom is quite big so we could go for a bigger one but we aren't fussed.

I'm in the minority that over got a double bed.
But seemingly everyone else seems to think king or super king is the norm and teenagers need doubles as well(my teen has a single bed)

I cant bear the thought of all the extra washing and ironing if everyone was in doubles and super king size beds!

8 foot bed here- it's absolutely ginormous and takes up most of the room but it's just fabulous. I sleep propped up with various pillows and by the morning there is usually at least 1 child plus assorted cats and cuddly toys in bed.

I do have a SK duvet on it though as finding 8foot bedding is night on impossible plus a 8 foot duvet cover wont actually fit in my washing machine. I've also got a mattress topper on it which I had to get custom cut due to the size. It cost almost as much as the bed and took 4 people to carry upstairs.

King size with super King bedding. Whatever size the bed, the next size up quilt is the way forward.

See I have a Superking (shared with a 6 and 4 years old plus me and maybe a cat or 2) and a normal king size duvet is fine

With a superking you have a single mattress amount of room each.

Seems odd that an adult would have anything less.

I think in a double you get the same width each as a cot mattress.
