Slight tweak to the suggestion, but here it is.

I'm guessing you are all in the pub.

Nihiloxica · 04/07/2020 23:58

I am at home after 2 nights with friends and 1 out with family.

Checking in!

Ibake · 04/07/2020 23:58

I'm here! And can now go to bed and rest easy knowing we have a new thread. Night xx

TheGreatWave · 05/07/2020 00:01

I can rest easy knowing the thread has been found. I was getting lonely in the pub corner looking into the dregs in the bottom of my glass.

HesterShaw1 · 05/07/2020 00:01

I'm not at the pub, sadly. Thanks for new thread!

BogRollBOGOF · 05/07/2020 00:12

Hello. No pub today, I've been about the playgrounds.

Hopefully we may find refreshment on tomorrow's "bloody walk" Grin
I'll have to see what's up with the next parish's playground too.

Paradiseinportugal · 05/07/2020 00:21

I've been to the pub, but I'm still in Portugal so it probably doesn't count.
I'll just carry on lurking

Mrsfrumble · 05/07/2020 00:22

Place marking before bed. This evening I’ve been trying my hand at making masks (or government muzzles Grin) so we can take a bus or train tomorrow and escape the 5 mile radius we’ve been trapped in since March. Only the thread tension on my sewing machine is all buggered up because a child has been messing with it (it’s a vintage manual one and the spinny wheel is just too tempting) and I kept pricking my fingers with pins because I’ve had 1/2 a bottle of Chianti, so I’m giving up.

Hope all the pub goers had fun. G’night all!

justasking111 · 05/07/2020 00:22

Hope we get a welsh crackers day soon Sad

PickAChew · 05/07/2020 00:22

Just been watching 80s TOTP with stinky headed firstborn. He's gone to bed, now, thank goodness, cos I'm shattered.

Mascotte · 05/07/2020 00:24

N Scotland so no pubs here... no fun

Weedsnseeds1 · 05/07/2020 00:52

Good grief, you have illegal visitors over for a few days (legal from midnight Friday, I suppose) and a whole thread gets away from you.
Guests arrived Thursday, so I smuggled them through the side gate and in through the back door.

Weedsnseeds1 · 05/07/2020 00:55

I cooked paella in the garden on Thursday as we were all supposed to be on holiday in Spain together

Checking in. DD is roasting with fever Sad poor wee mite. Been waking every hour.

We have pre-booked tickets to the local animal farm for Monday, which I will be cancelling come the morning when I'm less bleary eyed. Bugger. Waited so long to get out and do something.

Dowser · 05/07/2020 03:34

Nice title..
I’m glad some of my slogan writing skills for competitions came in a bit handy
Funnily enough today, I dragged out an old exercise bowok from 1998 and I’d written some of my wins
Most of them were pretty bog standard stuff, £25 voucher, food hamper etc but one I had forgotten about was £500 cheque from Rizla.

I don’t even know if there are any slogan comps about these days but I had a good run while they lasted.

Nice to be at the caravan but not so nice being wide awake and piss poor internet
I shall have to try and get more sleep otherwise I’ll be grumpy and tired..and as I am the only driver....

Next door neighbour told me there’s a new home bargains opened up on the york ring road , with loads of bargains, so I’m duty bound to visit
Right zzzzzz

DominaShantotto · 05/07/2020 03:51

Checking in with insomnia again.

User8008135 · 05/07/2020 04:18

Not sure if I'm AD or not? Been loving the playgrounds all week, couldn't hold off once they were unchained, but wasn't happy when a lady in the park let into my pram to try and kiss my littlest hand.

InsaneInTheViralMembrane · 05/07/2020 05:25

Although @Weedsnseeds1 has posted a pic of my vegetable patch 😂 “I did not have that woman in my home!”.

I loved the DM pics of all those 20-somethings out enjoying themselves and doing all the daft things they should.

However reading the DM is making me believe I ought casually take some semi-naked photos for you to show you my lockdown-body. But I’ll give you all time to find a rinseable receptacle. 😁

I’m up at this ungodly hour because I dreamed I missed a flight. I’ll spend all bloody day in a tizz now. Missing a flight seems like a super-ironic dream right now.

My favourite swimming loch was apparently people-soup yesterday with police happy for people to be out and about - but the national parks aren’t opening their car-parks and the police don’t want you parking in the verges. They have HALF a point I suppose.

Long term weather forecast is looking to be outrageously hot (northern Scotland style) for when Queen Nicola opens properly in the 15th. If she was trying to avoid carnage she’d have been better off opening this weekend with the gales keeping people home.

InsaneInTheViralMembrane · 05/07/2020 05:29

@HesterShaw1 There are fucking bonkers rules in lots of forrin places - the grass is always greener and that. These Europeans always come across as liberal and fair - but woe betide the man or woman who pops out the power-drill to fix a curtain rail on a Sunday. I also don’t understand how anyone weighs less than 20 stone in Germany because their ratio of bakeries to people is like the Welsh ratio of sheep to people.

Corona or no Corona that would set my teeth on edge a bit too

You’re not a dementor, you’re just normal!

RubberDinghyRapids · 05/07/2020 06:18

Years of DH and I working unsocial hours (he was in retail previously) made the enforced Sunday-shutdown look quite attractive. Although to be fair I was pg with DD when we were there so was viewing everything through rose tinted spectacles.

@User8008135 That makes me recoil too. I find it grossly inappropriate, and am always shocked when people do it (it's much less now she's a grubby toddler though Grin)

BlackberryViolet · 05/07/2020 06:20

Checking in. Managed a nice lunch out plus coffee and cake in the afternoon. Sadly the pub visit didn’t happen. The nice dog and child friendly pub has morphed into a child and dog free zone. Child free I can deal with, although I couldn’t leave them outside shops, give them Netflix and they are happy at home for a couple of hours. Dog free is a different matter! Dog face was quite pissed off that she wasn’t allowed in.

Still the high street was much quieter than a usual Saturday. Not everything open yet and people generally well behaved plus heavy police presence. Hasn’t stopped the local dementors though. The local site is a joy this morning Grin.

wanderings · 05/07/2020 06:29

@Mrsfrumble I'm glad that a fellow AD also thinks they should be called muzzles. Still waiting and waiting to be able to play netball! Instead I'm taking part in an online workout from somebody in the club.

Orangeblossom78 · 05/07/2020 06:42

Just checking in. DH in a mood here not sure what is up there. Was good to see things open here yesterday and it was quite busy. Gave me a bit of hope.

Orangeblossom78 · 05/07/2020 06:47

I see that on the day the pubs opened the BBC is bringing us this joy hmm

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-53273382

'superspreader' events - birthday parties, bar nights, and even choir practice - seem to be the culprits in an outsized number of Covid-19 infections
