Are all your Christmas guests still able to come?

It's not too sore at the moment, as I've taken painkillers, and it only hurts when I move now.

My sister is coming, as she is in our support bubble, but my friend isn't, as no other Christmas bubbles are now allowed. Even if another bubble was allowed, now that Christmas mixing is only Christmas Day, she wouldn't want to drive that far and back and then not see me (as I'll be at work). And her area has now gone into tier 4!

Fortunately she's fairly ok with her own company, so will cope.

When are you supposed to be at work? Glad it’s improving but don’t rush back. A 12+ hour shift on your feet will not help your recovery!

Consignment of cheese sounds good. I think cheese is very beneficial for knees, eating it, not applying it.

I was supposed to be working tomorrow, petal, but when I phoned yesterday and spoke to my boss she said I should err on the side of caution and take tomorrow off sick, so that the injury heals ok. I have Christmas Eve off, so my next working day will be Christmas Day.

I should be fine for that, as the knee has improved over the day today, and I have done a bit of walking to test it out. Will gradually up the activity over the next couple of days so it's not too much of a shock on Friday.

I like the idea of cheese for knees.

Meanwhile we will be in tier 4 from Boxing Day. @petalpower I guess our garden meeting on 29th is off?

Father Christmas will soon be out delivering presents, but first he sanitises his sleigh.
