Love today's pics! Merry Christmas @SoMuch. 🙂

SoMuchToBits · 24/12/2020 22:58

Thank you all! Just to add, the idea of Father Christmas taking the photo to prove delivery came from ds. He's a star! Xmas Smile

Happy Christmas @SoMuchToBits, thank you for today's picture. 🙂

Bloodybridget · 25/12/2020 18:52

Happy Christmas dear SoMuch, to you and your DS, and thanks for all your brilliant cheering scenes from Playmoland.

LIZS · 25/12/2020 19:02

Merry Christmas, hope you, your ds and all in Playmoland have a safe and happy festive season.

SoMuchToBits · 26/12/2020 00:56

Thank you all. In good news, I was working on my own ward with the usual staff for that ward, and the knee held up fine.

Unfortunately the ward was very busy, all Covid patients, mostly with dementia, and we didn't have enough staff for the work load. I don't even want to go into the detail of all the stuff I had to deal with today, except to say that one of our patients sadly passed away.

Ds picked me up from work, and I have now had a shower, eaten some food and opened presents with ds and my sister. But somehow feel a bit flat. Hope tomorrow will be better (cooking Christmas dinner). Anyway, wanted to say thank you to everyone who has posted on my threads this year. All very much appreciated and hope you all have a good New Year. Hopefully better than 2020!

I'm feeling better today. Think I was just too tired to enjoy anything properly last night! Looking forward to cooking the Christmas dinner today and spending time with ds and my sister. Xmas Smile

Currently enjoying a Brew with Norman. I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday. And I'm hoping make some more scenes in the New Year (there won't be much else to do as we're now in tier 4!)

You were probably shattered after work I should think SoMuch. Enjoy your relaxing day today. 🙂

elephantoverthehill · 26/12/2020 09:52

Enjoy your dinner Bits. And Happy New Year to you.

SoMuchToBits · 26/12/2020 12:14

Thank you! Ds and my sister have gone out for a walk while I've been pottering around preparing dinner (which we are eating mid afternoon) and tidying up. Now sitting with my feet up! Xmas Smile

I've had a lovely day today, enjoyed cooking and eating the dinner, had a Skype call with the rest of my family this afternoon, then went for an evening walk with my sister before returning for the Christmas pudding.

Hope everyone else has had a lovely Boxing Day.

ChessieFL · 27/12/2020 06:33

Glad you had a good Boxing Day SoMuch

SoMuchToBits · 27/12/2020 16:35

Thank you, Chessie. This morning I went for another walk with my sister. Ds is now taking her back home, he will stay overnight and return tomorrow morning. I'm working tomorrow, so just doing a bit of tidying, washing etc now.

January is looking spectacularly dull now we are in tier 4, so I think I will have to make some Playmo scenes to help keep me occupied! Xmas Smile

Ah, just had a nice chat to @petalpower on the phone. We're hoping to meet up in the New Year for another outdoor socially distanced takeaway lunch (still allowed in tier 4, so we'll do it even if it's snowing!) Xmas Smile

Fortunately, although work was still very busy today, it wasn't the same sort of frantic as Christmas Day. And ds picked me up from work and sorted dinner. Lovely! Xmas Smile

SoMuchToBits Glad you are feeling better. Shame you had a rather upsetting Christmas Day at work. I was thinking of you at work because I also worked Christmas Day in a hospital setting but in Reception, MHU. It was a lot calmer than where you are. The only annoyance is the food delivery people, delivering patient takeaways. They don't seem to grasp that we need both a first and second name, plus a ward. After all there may be 2 marks on the ward and if they don't give a ward name, well we have around 8 ward, though obviously the female ward, there won't be any patients called Mark!

Or there are the ones that do have the details and ring the ward to say they are coming and they take ages to come so the ward/patient i constantly ringing reception to find out where they are. Then we are constantly ringing the wards but only some of the extensions work and we cannot get an answer. Nothing like as frantic as your place!

SoMuchToBits · 29/12/2020 09:36

Oh dear, that sounds annoying! I don't think many of our patients are in a fit enough state to be ordering takeaways. They all have Covid and not much appetite.

I have a couple of days off now, so might get a Playmo scene together tomorrow. Xmas Smile

Lowbeach-on-Sea is now in tier 4. Gisela has taken the children to the park. Again. Pretty much everything else is shut.

She sanitises the play equipment before the children use it.

Once the equipment is clean, the children enjoy playing on it.

I like the pink wellies!!!

Brigitte arrives at the play park with her son Noel. She has bought a takeaway coffee, as all the cafés are only open for takeaway. She and Gisela wave to each other.

Gisela and Brigitte enjoy a socially distanced conversation. "Don't get too close to each other!" they say to the children.
