So nice to see the key workers getting thanked. Lovely pictures and looking forward to the next set. 🙂

Hope work isn't too bad SoMuch.

petalpower · 19/12/2020 18:18

How fantastic @SoMuchToBits! What a lovely evening hing for Norman to arrange. (Hope you’re ok.)

SoMuchToBits · 19/12/2020 20:43

Thank you all! I'm ok, but working the next couple of days and know it will be very busy.

Trying to keep cheerful, and the Playmo helps, but work is tough. Smile

Hope you have a lovely Christmas @SoMuchToBits and everyone else Xmas Smile

SoMuchToBits · 20/12/2020 16:33

Thank you! I unexpectedly came home from work early today, as I managed to injure my knee. Although actually work wasn't quite so ridiculously busy today. It looks like I will have to take tomorrow off as well, and will then have to see what happens.

Oh no! Poor knee!
(Lucky Playmo people, they don’t even HAVE knees!)

SoMuchToBits · 20/12/2020 16:48

Luckily it looks like a soft tissue injury (they sent me to A & E to get checked out). I just have to rest it for a day or two and take painkillers. They also gave me a pair of glamorous crutches! Hopefully the swelling will go down in a day or two and I'll be ok again. Smile

Gosh Bits look after yourself. Flowers

petalpower · 20/12/2020 18:07

Oh no! How did you manage to do that? I think you should medicate with a nice glass or two or wine. Wine

SoMuchToBits · 20/12/2020 18:28

petalpower , just left the house to walk to work this morning, when got distracted by some lights, caught my foot on the pavement and fell over, landing on hands and knees. Thought I had just scraped them a bit, so continued to work. But by about 11 my knee was hurting and had started to swell. By lunchtime it was getting hard to walk, so had to go home (via A & E). I've had painkillers so it's feeling a bit better though still sore.Smile

I hope DS came and picked you up from work.

SoMuchToBits · 20/12/2020 19:07

Yes he did! I couldn't have walked home, even with the crutches, and the bus would have been a struggle. But I phoned him and he came and picked me up. Smile

petalpower · 20/12/2020 20:30

Thank goodness he was home. Hope you’re not going into work tomorrow. Stay at home and rest your knee.

SoMuchToBits · 20/12/2020 21:20

Not going to work tomorrow. The A & E doctor said I should stay off tomorrow and then review.

AvengingGerbil · 21/12/2020 00:33

Oh, what a nasty accident. Take care SoMuch - hope you are not too sore tomorrow.

SoMuchToBits · 21/12/2020 07:46

Thank you! It already seems to be quite a bit better today, although still slightly sore and swollen. I'll have a quiet day today I think! Xmas Smile

That’s rubbish SoMuch, hope it gets better quickly.

SoMuchToBits · 21/12/2020 09:59

It's more of a nuisance than anything! And I feel bad about having to be off work when I know they are busy.

Oh poor you @SoMuchToBits I hope it heals swiftly and you feel better. (It's horrible falling over once you're past the age of oooh, seven Grin) it is a shock though, hope you feel better and have a lovely Christmas, also that Playmoland have a lovely one too.

Thank you for all your efforts this year, one of my strongest memories from the first (hot) lockdown is looking at your thread first thing! Xmas SmileThanks

SoMuchToBits · 21/12/2020 13:14

Ah thank you! Just trying to keep it rested today (a bit of a challenge as I'm a bit bad at just sitting down!)

Bloodybridget · 21/12/2020 16:53

Oh poor you, SoMuch, I am sorry you have a sore knee. Hope it's better soon, but don't rush back to work before you should.

SoMuchToBits · 21/12/2020 17:23

Thank you bridget! I spoke to my boss this afternoon, who agreed I should take tomorrow and Wednesday off (tomorrow was a day off anyway, but I would have been working Wednesday). I then have Thursday off, so hopefully will be fit by then for work on Christmas Day. She would rather I take enough time and get better rather than rush back and then go off sick again.

Meanwhile, I have been taking it easy today and taking Ibuprofen for pain relief and to ease the inflammation. Xmas Smile
