@nothingiswrong
Sorry to hear that nothing
I’ve lost a friend through this also.
I was really shocked and surprised as I’d helped her so much with the natural healing and thought I’d meant a bit more to her than that
Well she can fuck right off as
I have no more fucks to give

@InsaneInTheViralMembrane

My body is Faroe Isles beach-ready.

My dad is hoping to cross the border into Nicola’s sacred land. He’ll switch to Doric when questioned by the newly appointed border control and offer them butteries as an under the table bribe.

Mmm, butteries! Now I want some...

I have invited people over the border ar the end of July, sorry excuse for a Scot that I am...

Dowser · 28/06/2020 16:02

@Sallycinnamum
There won’t be another lockdown
Trust me
I’ve had a word with the universe.

Honestly we can’t afford one..Boris does not want to end his tenure as the prime minister who sold the uk down the river

He wants to be seen as a good guy
Maybe we should all write to Boris Saying
I know young wilfie is a bit young yet..but for goodness sake Boris get the bloomin playgrounds open

I now have a Scottish friend basically turning on me as an English person. All "close the borders and keep the filthy English out"

My sibling didn't like it at all when I mentioned they had 3 times the cases up there in his area.

I also noticed a news thing saying 'English hot spots near the border' which might infect them as the English were let out now Grin

It's horrible when they turn on you isn't it.

BarkandCheese · 28/06/2020 16:13

The park I went to yesterday has an unfenced playground which is spread out over quite a wide area. They’ve resorted to strings of hazard tape all over the place to let you know it’s closed. I walk through the very edge of it as part of my dog walking route so I dared to cross the tape and was half expecting an officious dementor to leap out of the bushes and admonish me.

Oh yes, I've got one of those too. Sad I really want to say 'why would the English want to come to a place where its always drizzling, the midges eat you alive and everything is closed'? Not very attractive is it? I suspect there are more people 'flocking' over the border in the other direction in reality.

Dowser · 28/06/2020 16:31

I’m wondering if people who live near beaches have had a better lockdown..apart maybe from those at durdle door
As in more things open..like ice cream, coffees, takeaways, fish and chips like ours have
Have only ventured into the city of york..and it was ok but I didn’t feel like lingering long
Certainly wasn’t going to queue for tk maxx and boots. Just to browse

If they want us back and want us to spend our money..they’ll have to play nice.

Any big city dwellers here, that can shed a light?

If Leicester has a problem then like anywhere else. Go back to basics, shopping, washing hands, stay away from others otherwise. It is a pain but that is what I would do. We have had an outbreak with meat market on Anglesey lots of testing, 210 positive from the premises now so yep it is a problem but in a month it will be gone again one way or the other.

We are going to get these blips/outbreaks for months to come no reason to stop everyone else getting on with their lives.

I really cannot fathom children being so dangerous, they have been locked down for three months now, where the heck would they catch the virus from anyway.

Willow2017 · 28/06/2020 16:32

Today I am mostly being irritated by reading all the fucking time "it doesn't mean the virus has gone away, it just means there is more room in ICU for you".

That was on a few threads past few days too. I lost it and bit! Said I thought that this trite little soundbite was getting really tiresome now. It's just thier lucky charm. If they say it often enough it will stop them getting the virus as they are soooo more knowledgeable and virtuous than everyone else. Idiots.

Nothing that's crap. We are not all like that honest! Ignorance is bliss.

Orangeblossom78 · 28/06/2020 16:32

I took to saying to my sibling "I'm sorry to hear you have so many cases and lockdown has gone on so long up there' which I did mean- but also as he seemed to think it was an English thing and had gone and told my elderly dad there were no cases up there Sad which is annoying as dad could be vulnerable.

it can really cause rifts with family and friends which is a bit sad really

Teateaandmoretea · 28/06/2020 16:34

But they may well end up in ICU for a different reason if they say it to the wrong person

BogRollBOGOF · 28/06/2020 16:35

I've got the body, more of it than usual. It's the beach that's the problem. I can do a bostin' Brummie accent though Wink

I've cracked. I moved. All the way down to the co-op. A friend shared pictures of a restaurant takeaway for her birthday and I actually developed urges for a roast. So I've pulled out some ancient legs of lamb from the depths of the freezer (2017, defintely Covid free) and I went down the co-op to buy veg.
DH has not crept out of the bedroom.
The DCs have gone from minecraft to Ninjago to youtube.
There's some nasty squally showers out there and I CBA to chivvy anyone to do anything.

Queen Nic is apparently considering separate quarantine arrangements

What Saint Nicki seems to forget is that we're connected to England by this wee thing called the M74/M6. If she refuses to allow flights from Scotland, we'll all just fuck off to Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds/Bradford....

No deaths from Covid in 3 days in Scotland. 7 day running average of new infections at 11, down from 26 last Sunday and 60 at the beginning of the month.

InsaneInTheViralMembrane · 28/06/2020 16:40

I’ve just seen a bloody map on Reddit showing a big chunk of Scotland as “orange” - same as London. 🙄 tayside orange means 20-80 cases per 100,000 in the last 2 weeks. Wtf? We’ve had about 10, not 80.

InsaneInTheViralMembrane · 28/06/2020 16:40

10 cases for 400,000, not a MINIMUM of 80.

Willow2017 · 28/06/2020 16:41

Not where I am. Every sodding thing was shut down even for takeaway. Still all shut now. Boring as hell. Best thing we have now is an ice cream van going round. It's a popular tourist place in summer but small compared to the places in the news but still nothing at all for locals.

That ICU meme drives me insane. Give any perpetrators the head tilt and nail them with Stats. As at 25/6 the grand total of 276 vent beds were being used. It will take quite some lamppost licking to overwhelm the NHS any time soon.

I just look chirpy and "oh well that's nice that they've got the capacity now isn't it?"
