Not only have millions sadly died in the making of the grass skirts, but my failure to have bleached them before bringing them into the house will undoubtedly cause many more deaths :(

CarrotPuff · 19/06/2020 11:38

I completely forgot about these alert levels. I wonder if they make this shit up, including R, just so that they have something to talk about.

More snotting how getting kids back to school is mission impossible. Give me strength...

Trying to survive mask wearing at work today. So far people are complying with it about 10% of the time, and that's me being generous...

BlackberryViolet · 19/06/2020 11:42

@RubberDinghyRapids I’ve been going in via the national trust site, Got sent to a holding queue for half an hour before it let me on. There seem to be tickets in the week but neither of us can get time off at the moment. I really want to go and have a look at the gardens and have a picnic. We can find somewhere else for picnic but I want to look at pretty gardens!

Ibake · 19/06/2020 11:45

@yumyum found this, some of it a bit too young and I know you're at the improvise stage now but maybe a bit of inspiration. Was thinking about making lei's with crepe paper and then realised you probably couldn't get any now, brain turned to using real flowers and then realised I was basically just suggesting you get the girls to make a bunch of crap daisy chains Grin

RubberDinghyRapids · 19/06/2020 11:46

Gah. I can't work out if it's mega busy or just a crap site. I was sat in the queue this morning for ages, gave up and went for a run then tried again when I came back and got straight in. So I think it's to stop the system overloading rather than being sold out. Really rubbish when you're limited to weekends though, hopefully it won't be for long.

AnxiousElephant77 · 19/06/2020 11:46

Why haven't I got these children mixing me drinks?! Where have I gone wrong all these years?

Bollss · 19/06/2020 11:48

That thread is fucking stupid! I don't think she's got us right at all. Boooooore off Grin

RubberDinghyRapids · 19/06/2020 11:48

Sorry - double post (why?) but that was for BlackBerry

KnobChops · 19/06/2020 11:50

Well I had my antibody test at work (hospital) and it’s positive. So I now have some immunity and won’t be on killing sprees any more. Almost half of us were positive which is quite high.

Apparently (according to new dementor thread) there is no point the Op or any of us travelling to Cornwall from 4th July to take up the cottages they have flogged to tourists at inflated prices. We’re not wanted, all the shops will be closed except to locals and you’ll need proof of being a local (? Birth Cert) to go in one.

The writing was on the wall for us when at DD1’s 2 year check with the HV she was playing with a teapot, and when the HV said ‘ooh are you making a cup of tea for mummy?’ DD replied ‘my mummy doesn’t drink tea, she drinks wine’ Grin

Haha well luckily we’re going to Devon and despite not having lived there for 35 years (since I was 2 months old) I was actually born in Plymouth, so I’m ok!

Ah....that'll be the Dementors' interpretation of events.

Actually the polar opposite of reality of course! We definitely want you.

Not fair! I have had TWO antibody tests and still no result. Humph!
HesterShaw1 · 19/06/2020 11:57

Excellent news on the antibody test.

Murderers I have had a sore throat for a week or so. I don't go near anyone anyway apart from DP. What Should I Do? I had the tight band across the chest, fatigue and diarrhoea back in mid March, as did ExH, and we assumed that was it.

Khione · 19/06/2020 11:59
@frank I read that post too, genuinely couldn't believe it. Decided not to mention that we regularly went to neighbours for dinner with the monitor when our boys were babies. And because I'm so old it wasn't a new fangled video type, just audio! (next door terrace so not quite as bad as it sounds). The buggers are 19 now and still more or less in one piece.
We used to do that too. Only ours was wired which acted as an ariel and picked up Radio Bulgaria. My daughter (2 ish) used to get up and talk to us over it.

KnobChops · 19/06/2020 12:00

It was quick too, less than 24 hours.

HUMPF. Are you a HCP? Our trust mucked up the paperwork for the first one so loads of us didn't get results. Bled again last Friday and only half of us have had a result.
Allflightscancelled · 19/06/2020 12:02

I'd forgotten the five levels. I mean, I'm glad we've moved down to three, but surely we should be down to two, by their own definition Confused.

KnobChops · 19/06/2020 12:03

@RubberDinghyRapids yes HCP. Venous blood test. Really fast results.

PickAChew · 19/06/2020 12:07

Ds2 is the master of bad clothing, given that he refuses to wear a coat. I've invited him out for a walk twice, this morning, and both times he has hoofed me out of his bedroom because he's too busy watching trucking in the UK videos. It's forecast to pee down, this afternoon.

Nihiloxica · 19/06/2020 12:10

Ugh, is there anything more tedious than people who think they are the "sensible middle" Hmm

The Overton Window was designed specifically to manipulate these fool.

It's like people who say "there are two sides to every story".

Very few stories have only 2 sides.

TheGreatWave · 19/06/2020 12:13

Blackberry is Thorpe Perrow an option?

LadyOfTheImprovisedBath · 19/06/2020 12:15

That's probably our fault we finally got hold of carcoal and bought a morrisons BBQ box - for weekend having checked the weather and it being forcast sunny - since we ordered it we've had rain.

BakewellTarts · 19/06/2020 12:16

Pleased to report I avoided a sad death in my shopping spree this morning. However DH might end up with a not sad death. The non stick on our milk pan has been struggling so I bought a new one. He doesn't think we needed it!!! Felt oddly emotinonal going round John Lewis today. I mean it's quieter than I've ever seen it but felt good to be doing something almost normal.

Good news about the alert level and I agree we should be at level 2 but this shows we are going in the right direction and hopefully will reduce again soon.. Wonder if I dare venture into the Coronazone to see how the dementors are reacting.

HesterShaw1 · 19/06/2020 12:17

Oh the holiday cottage thread is going to kill me!!!
