This'll be thread number 13, I think.

Let's hope it's a lucky one Grin

I think if I posted what I really thought of him, it would earn me a decent ban Grin

FluffyKittensinabasket · 17/06/2020 21:01

I went to a National Trust property today! It was glorious.

RubberDinghyRapids · 17/06/2020 21:01

Matt Wanksocks that is, not hellypad's dentist

BakewellTarts · 17/06/2020 21:05

What an uncancelled appointment ! That is rarer than hens teeth.

NannyPhlegm · 17/06/2020 21:05

Welcome hellypad and what great news re dentists. I assume you're in England?

Our dentists in Wales are planning to reopen on 1st July, and I'm hoping to catch one of their earlier appointments. As will half of the city, no doubt.

hellypad · 17/06/2020 21:10

Yes England, didn't seem to dementorish either, said we could all go in together as one household. I'm taking them to Primark after just to really live it up

HesterShaw1 · 17/06/2020 21:12

How exciting!

SeagoingSexpot · 17/06/2020 21:15

I'm rethinking my plan to go shopping at Westfield tomorrow, but only because I don't have time. I will mooch around my local high street as much as possible tho, to get the murders in. God I miss coffee shops.

Loved that Sikora article in the Telegraph. I'm also in love with his adorable doggo.

BarkandCheese · 17/06/2020 21:19

I’m going to Battle Abbey tomorrow. I’ve been to a couple of NT places but they still have their cafes closed, Battle Abbey is English Heritage and apparently their cafe is open (as long as you actually sit outside). It might be more excitement can I stand, a walk and a bit of cake, I may have to have a lie down after Grin .

Thisdressneedspockets · 17/06/2020 21:21

About being out in all weathers. We used to when the children were tiny, but they've become steadily less tough as they got older and have become cafe kids.

Also, if you're not already an outdoorsy family, the right gear to withstand rain things however many of you there are, can be expensive. That's without being able to easily go into shops and try tuff on.

MagdaS · 17/06/2020 21:26

I murdered millions going into the office today. It was great. We’re not officially back yet but I have taken matters into my own hands with my smaller team a bit. My boss and the big boss don’t seem to mind as we are evidently being very sensible about it. We’re using a massive meeting room with the windows open and no one licked each other.

Teateaandmoretea · 17/06/2020 21:35

LMAO at the excitement caused by a dental appointment

Teateaandmoretea · 17/06/2020 21:37

About being out in all weathers.

Yesterday we had hailstones the size of ice cubes. It would have taken a really special type of mumsnetter to enjoy being out in that.

I got absolutely soaked to the fucking skin at lunchtime. I need to get a new waterproof coat for the summer, that one used to be but they lose it over time.

Willitneverend · 17/06/2020 21:38

Riots in Glasgow now. Weirdly, much less from the SNP about a second spike.

Has it dawned on them that taking away peoples livelihoods is going to cause civil unrest?

Mascotte · 17/06/2020 21:42

The riots are very unpleasant. A bit of loyalist race rioting to top off a truly shite 2020 so far.

KaronAVyrus · 17/06/2020 21:44

Can we just fast forward though 2020? So far it’s been shite.

Mascotte · 17/06/2020 21:45

But on a different note, when the outside pubs reopen will the toilets open too...? My local dementor insists they won't!

BakewellTarts · 17/06/2020 21:51

Yes I've had my fill of 2020 too. Lets press skip and move onto 2021.

HesterShaw1 · 17/06/2020 21:57

@Mascotte

But on a different note, when the outside pubs reopen will the toilets open too...? My local dementor insists they won't!
Goodness I hope so. I average a piss a pint.
Drivingdownthe101 · 17/06/2020 22:03

Of course they’ll open the toilets, unless they want everyone pissing in their plant pots!
To be honest everywhere we’ve been in the past couple of weeks has had its public toilets open anyway.

InsaneInTheViralMembrane · 17/06/2020 22:06

orangeblossom please do give me a shout if you need me to swing by your dad and get a photo of him holding up today’s newspaper 😁 - I gather you’re some distance now.

I think I may have murdered some people in the supermarket. I picked some stuff up and put it back because it had short dates - directly contravening the “you touch it, you buy it” coronavirus anti-dementor directives.

Mascotte · 17/06/2020 22:10

Oh, thank goodness for you lot 😊

MinesaPinot · 17/06/2020 22:11

I read something interesting on another thread (I think, unless it was earlier on this one) about Cameron Macintosh's statement about the theatres.
It suggested that this might be his way of trying to force the Government's hand to start to reopen theatres in view of how much his big shows, particularly Les Mis contribute to the economy, particularly tourism. Not something I immediately thought of I must admit.

TheGreatWave · 17/06/2020 22:19

Dowser That looks a much better layout for the market stalls - it is usually so crowded on the pavements - I really don't like it.

I say "Boyes" but I am an interloper so what do I know.

Oh and I hate the wrong weather / wrong clothes - I am a fair weather gal, and I am not apologising.

TheGreatWave · 17/06/2020 22:20

We did have a lot of fun with the start-rite paper gauge though, this is what we have been reduced today - laughing at a piece of paper.
