and I bloody love it 😆. Makes me grin every time I look at it.

Ideally would've had a new door but too £££ at the minute.

Was a bland and badly painted green/grey before.

What's made you happy today?

I LOVE that!
And the pink one.
And the dog 💗💗

Nousernamehistory · 09/06/2020 22:55

I do love the sage green but that pink is amazing! Love all the bright colours Grin

KeepingTwoChevronsApart · 09/06/2020 22:57

We just moved and have the dreaded brown UPVC, my heart has lifted at these pictures! Oh, and I love the blue wall I want my shed this colour 😀

That's gorgeous, as are all the others. I'm just so glad that no one has painted them grey. I think if I see another door/window/fence painted grey I may scream.

Fozzleyplum · 09/06/2020 23:03

We painted our very drab upvc door as an experiment, as the original dark blue had become dull and patchy and we didn't want to fork out gor a new door. We used Dulux Difficult Surface Primer then ordinary gloss. It's lasted 13 years, and is just due to be repainted.

Looks AMAZING @QuentinQuarantino !

Would never have thought of painting on my PVC door , you’ve inspired me !

FTEngineerM · 09/06/2020 23:15

Thanks, glossy dog enjoys sitting on feet. Maybe he’s concerned about their temperature who knows.

Absolutely love the pictures! I hope this turns into a thread where everyone shares pics of brightly coloured houses/sheds/doors/walls/anything😃 it’s fab.

Zaza1414 · 09/06/2020 23:19

No photos, but I've gone from cream and grey walls..to white and brown!!

scrivette · 09/06/2020 23:29

They all look great! I can't paint mine as it's only a year old (and black) but now I want to find something to paint. What a cheery thread. Smile

TreacherousPissFlap · 10/06/2020 00:42

That makes such a difference OP!
Today DS and I have finally cracked the bastarding smart plug and programmed it to turn on DH's kitchen lights (they're mounted in the plinths and are utterly not to my taste, but DH loves them)
We joke that it makes the kitchen look like a runway, so have programmed the plug to turn them on when we say "switch the runway on"
Just a small thing but it made me chuckle Grin

Littlebyerockerboo · 10/06/2020 01:50

OMG. This is stunning and I had no idea you could paint UPVC.... i live in rented, my front door is a disgrace of all kinds... ive done hanging baskets and window boxes that obviously can be taken down when i leave... if i painted the front door, could it be repainted white again if i left?
I would love to do this... the front of our house is a just horrible and it makes me so sad, when I'm a "look at my lovely house/garden" kind of person Smile

OnceUponACat · 10/06/2020 01:56

I am not a magenta person but I love it! You can tell it reflect the personality of who lives there and it makes think of a happy person. Fab fab fab

OnceUponACat · 10/06/2020 01:56

Ps I want to paint my front door but too scared...

gumball37 · 10/06/2020 02:39

Absolutely love it

Aquamarine1029 · 10/06/2020 02:39

@OnceUponACat

It's just paint. You can always paint it again.

DramaAlpaca · 10/06/2020 02:46

Love the magenta front door, it's fabulous.

I just love a pop of bright colour. I've just painted the walls of my downstairs loo bright blue and I think it's amazing it was bright red before Grin

Aclh13 · 10/06/2020 03:14

Love it, nice change from everything else going on in the world

Pickles89 · 10/06/2020 03:32

That's awesome!! Wow, it looks so cool, I love it!!

Pickles89 · 10/06/2020 03:37

Jellykat, your house makes me think of those old fashioned newspaper games where you had to spot a character in Blackpool or whatever, and go up to them and say 'You are soandso!' and you'd win a fiver. Guys, let's all keep an eye out for Jellykat's house, and Jelly, have a reward ready for whoever finds it first!!

1forAll74 · 10/06/2020 03:58

Yes I like it too, Will you get one of those flamingo garden ornaments with solar lights on also.?

areyoubeingserviced · 10/06/2020 04:35

I love it Op

bumbleb33s · 10/06/2020 05:31

I love it and I would love to do mine but like some of the other posts I’m a bit scared, can you tell me, does it paint on ok, do you get streaks, does it chip off, give me some confidence and I’ll be shooting to B&Q today :)

JuneJuly · 10/06/2020 05:34

We had a door that colour when I was a kid. It was a solid wooden door though, rather than with glass in it. It attracted lots of daddy long legs, one day the door was covered in them & I was scared to go through it to get inside! 😬

Your door looks really great though op and no sign of any crane flies

Gatekeeper · 10/06/2020 05:40

Steps next I reckon would look magnificent tiled in black and white

QuentinQuarantino · 10/06/2020 18:32

Jellykat sounds amazing. Any chance of a non-outing photo?!

Gatekeeper. That's exactly what I've been thinking of doing with my steps. Love the b/w Victorian style tiles like in this pic. Think you've inspired my next project!
