I painted my (shit UPVC) front door magenta today

and I bloody love it 😆. Makes me grin every time I look at it.

Ideally would've had a new door but too £££ at the minute.

Was a bland and badly painted green/grey before.

It's gorgeous. There is a house near us with a similar coloured door, one of my children and I love it and want to paint ours the same. Unfortunately two other members of the family are vehemently opposed.

I was trying to concentrate on the thread,
But there’s something about the gorgeousness of the back of a dogs head, with the silky ears and general scrumptiousness of it all that makes me go all gooey and forget everything else...😆

Thisis I looked at Frenchchic originally but it was sold out almost everywhere online plus I didn't love any of their shades. Colleagues at work have used it and raved about it though.

How does the paint wear OP - does it flake in the rain and frost? I have seen people do this on local DIY groups and keep thinking about it but I'm not confident enough as I don't know anyone IRL who has done it

Today I drove past my old house and the fabulous red front door had been painted gunmetal grey

Ooof Fluff that would hurt me too ☹️. Irrational as it may be.

I had to have it rendered 3 years ago, so my then partner and i painted the whole house (him, not me, up the scaffolding)
My Step dad said it looked like a cross between a whore house and a Chinese takeaway, but everyone else loves it, plus its well handy for deliveries, they cant miss it!
