Strong, dark, some hint of redemption or not. Fearless taking no shit women that I can soak up and mentally channel at such or whatever the acronym is! Solid writing/story please. I like Three Billboards, Star is Born, Fargo...

Kill Bill 1 & 2

AthenaMinerva · 03/06/2020 20:23

Hidden Figures

Allmyfavouritepeople · 03/06/2020 20:25

Dead to me is a Netflix series rather than a film and features two strong kick ass women. Wouldn't recommend it if you are grieving though.

AthenaMinerva · 03/06/2020 20:25

Not a film but Killing Eve series might be satisfying.

Wonder Woman was a really fun movie.

TheRattleBag · 03/06/2020 20:27

I enjoyed Hidden Figures yesterday - three strong women to pick from!

almightygirl · 03/06/2020 20:28

Wonder Woman & Mad Max:Fury Road

cheekaa · 03/06/2020 20:28

Watched Bombshell last weekend. Quite good.

colouringindoors · 03/06/2020 20:30

thanks Athena yes am almost up to date with Killing Eve Wink Hidden Figures is excellent and should be watched by all teenage girls imo! Haven't seen Erin Brokovitch for years but actually that would be a good watch as I've also had to deal with a load of shit from nhs/camhs re my ds ptsd (partly caused by ex).

buttery never braved the Kill Bills but actually they are probably exactly what i need Grin

favouritepeople will def look at that thanks!

hmm not heard of Bombshell cheekha

Hunger Games series v good Tinkly

think I'll save wonder woman for when I'm feeling less murderous.

Hannibal Lecter is so creepy, not sure if the amazing Clarice could do enough. Despite the ending, I still feel that he wins as he has destroyed and disturbed so many people!!!

gravity

cheekaa · 03/06/2020 20:42

Bombshell is with Nicole Kidman Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie
It is about sexual harassment by the head of Fox TV in the US.

BadgeronaMoped · 03/06/2020 20:43

I'd suggest Alien & Aliens. Ellen Ripley is a great character, as is Vasquez. I love strong female characters!
Ooh, while I'm at it, Mad Max: Fury Road is an absolute blinder of a film, Charlize Theron is superb.

colouringindoors · 03/06/2020 20:44

Bluefix Gravity is one of my all time total favourite films ❤ I am nowhere near a science fiction person, but the decision she makes, despite knowing the consequences is fucking incredible and I love her for it!
