Something just moved in my stomach..

I’ve name changed for this.

Something literally just rolled in my stomach, there was a popping sensation and now I swear I have a bump where I didn’t before. Nothing that strange until I mention that I’ve not had sex since November and I’ve had periods since then. But something is moving in my stomach, and not like trapped wind. I’ll get out for a test first thing, but I surely can’t be that many weeks pregnant and not have had a single symptom till now, surely? Please someone tell me I can’t.

Wow! Congratulations!

Hopefully you can get into see your midwife/GP this week and go over how you're feeling about it all, since I know you're concerned about not shielding for the past couple of months and any other concerns you might have since you didn't know you were pregnant all this time.

Megatron · 25/05/2020 13:35

How do you feel OP? Is this a happy accident? I hope it is!

greathat · 25/05/2020 13:35

A colleagues other half found out she was pregnant when she went into labour. She had a heart condition so thought it was something to do with that. Colleague raced to the cardiac ward to meet her to be gently redirected to maternity

See a GP as the popping sensation might mean prolapse

Eckhart · 25/05/2020 13:36

Let us know the outcome, OP. I get gas trapped in my digestive system which is palpable as a mass from the outside. I can push it from one place to another, sometimes. You'd swear it was something solid if you felt it.

HollowTalk · 25/05/2020 13:37

Congratulations!

HettyStThomas · 25/05/2020 13:37

Wow, congratulations

peperethecat · 25/05/2020 13:37

Wow, OP. How soon can you get in for a scan to check how far along you are?

Rockdown2020 · 25/05/2020 13:41
Shock
Eckhart · 25/05/2020 13:42

Oh! The thread updated after I posted, my apologies.

Wow. Big news. Don't forget to keep stopping for deep breaths during the next few days as you settle with the new situation. Look after yourself.

Tsubasa1 · 25/05/2020 13:44

Oh blimey, I guess pg tests do work when you're 5-6 months pregnant then 🤦🏻‍♀️ that was crap advice from me earlier 💩

Congratulations, gosh what a shock for you, hope you are doing ok today.

QuitMoaning · 25/05/2020 13:59

Congratulations. I am more shocked at the amount of people commenting who clearly haven’t read full thread and not seen your news.

A new chapter for you. Hope whatever happens it makes you happy.

Boomclaps · 25/05/2020 14:00

I got pregnant in November, I am currently seven months pregnant wearing a size small Zara jumpsuit I bought when I was sixteen and actually weigh less than I did when I fell.
I’ve had bleeding every six ish weeks, and didn’t find out until about 3.5 months because I had periods like clockwork until then. If I hadn’t been in hospital in early feb with a UTI I don’t think I’d have tested and I wouldn’t know now.

ChewChewIsMySpiritAnimal · 25/05/2020 14:01

Oh dear. Tentative congratulations?

saffy1234 · 25/05/2020 14:02

I had my son without knowing I was pregnant and he wasn't my first child
I'd been to the drs who diagnosed kidney stones (which I did have)
Massive congratulations!

Boomclaps · 25/05/2020 14:03

Sorry sent to soon!
Do you want me to tag you in the August boards? I would possibly give the local delivery suite a call and see if they can have you in day assessment today or tomorrow.

Welcome to the not showing asympomatic August 2020 birth club.
How you feeling in yourself? Feel free to drop a message if you need to chat!

All the best
